On the price of games I think we have hit a sweet spot with game prices, any higher and we won't buy but one to two games per year but any lower and quality and production suffers. Games that range from $50-$70 I think are where they should stay for the foreseeable future, at least the remainder of this generation. I for one won't spend a penny over that regardless of how good the game is, I'll just wait till the price drops.

I agree that we have too many shovelware and sequel-to-death games in the industry. I for one love new IPs that push the envelope of imagination like Shadow of the Colossus or Flower or LBP. I also strive to have the most realistic experience that can be achieved, I think the way games will be moving is creating a simulation environment in whatever it is the game aims to do. Whether it be sports, action, RPG, racing and so on I think the next wave is making the games more and more believable by adding motion control, better graphics and eventually virtual reality interface. This won't come in the next five years but in the next twenty; I think if we could see that far ahead at what we will be able to do that we would die from the anticipation of waiting. Plus we wouldn't be able to stomach the mere button mashing experiences that we have today so best not to dwell too much on what is in store too far down the road, lol.

Not a bad list but I thought there were a few things that were cooler than these choices.

Awesome article, can't believe how much stuff was announced at E3! What the heck is wrong with the way E3 used to be, the old shows generated the most interest and press, not to mention they just totally rocked. The last two years had lots of good announcements but it just didn't feel as good. Come back E3 pre2007!

An easy way to curb pirates is to make a proprietary disc for PC games, like how the 360 and PS3 have. The only thing the PC needs is a small program on the HDD that can see if the disc is legit, and make it to where the disc must be in at all times, this is simple, easy and pain free, I would not mind this at all.

It is sad that some people can't stop thinking about games, I am glad that I can enjoy games and play the heck out of them but when something else comes up I can drop what I am doing and enjoy other things.

I definitely believe that video games can become an addiction. Anything that consumes a person, be it drugs, alcohol, sex, and video games, it is an addiction. Like the article said, if a person cannot tell the difference between priorities like real life and a virtual one then you have got yourself a problem. I love video games but I never let them get in the way of my real life, if I need to study for school I can set down the controller, if I want to hang with my friends or family I will set down the controller. I do feel sorry for people that can't, and I hope that we can somehow get them help and let them know that video games are made to enrich life, not be your life.

I would not buy this if I already had an older DS, but if you really like surfing the net I could see why you would want to buy it.

Price of course is my biggest concern.
