[QUOTE="rasengan2552"][QUOTE="mems_1224"] 360 is a more social experience. ps3 is not. when playing multiplayer games thats a pretty big difference. theres a noticeable difference when playing with people over live and psn.

mems_1224

The only reason the majority pays for live is because MS has 360 owners by the balls. You either pay or you don't get to enjoy the other half of your game. They are strong arming 360 owners. The argument "if you don't like it play elsewhere" doesn't work if the games you enjoy are on the 360. They have full control of what goes on , on the 360 and use it to full advantage. They tried the same garbage on the PC, but PC gamers gave them the finger, and they had no choice but to make it free. PC gamers had other choices, console gamers do not. Its a shady tactic on MS part as far as the consumer is concerned, but a genius business tactic to pull in revenue without doing much on MS part.

I paid for live once because at the time, I had no choice. I will never do it again. PSN allows me to play online just fine for free. Also I can watch Netflix on PS3 with out paying an additional fee. That is just ridiculous to charge to watch a service you have to pay to watch in the first place. The more this type of business practice gets justified by consumers, the more they will keep doing it, and others will join in.

[QUOTE="JoKeR_421"]im glad u liked it bro. its really underrated. that game started my year ( when it was released ) and it was awesome. its still one of those games i go back to. and i already paid in full and pre-ordered darksiders 2. i cant wait for it to release. theres still no date for it. but i hope in the summer, since summer is where the dry season for gaming is. normally nothing is out around then, but i hope they release it then so i can enjoy my summer. MonkeySpot

Summer would be a fantastic time to release the sequel... It's definitely on my "To Buy" list! Glad we share the same views on the first one, Joker.

:D

I'm almost done with the four challenge stages, having a bit of difficulty getting the last one (30 Instant-Kills), but gonna work on that this afternoon when I get back to my console. I'm sure it can be done. I really love the art. It just takes the game over the top for me. I was reading the GI cover story on DS2 again, and I can't wait to see where this goes, It would be phenominal if they could get all four horsemen's stories done eventually.

Actually I think DS2 won't be out til december. It sucks to wait so long for it. At first I was kind of bummed they werent going to continue the story of War after the epic ending but looking at how DS2 is shaping up, im interested to see how Death fares, and how they tie it into the first game and setup DS3.

maz- if u honestly thought those parts weren't hard u are either not human or a gaming god! darksiders had its moments where it shined i'll admit that.. all be it far too few to make it a truly good game, had it focused more on combat rather than mind twisting puzzle headaches it could have, i'll even go as far as to say 'would have' been a really awesome game.. but instead what we got was a bland, stale, repetitive, aggrevating, boring @ss game which put people to sleep, seriously i'm getting tired right now just thinking about that game.. hopefully the upcoming sequel will be what the original should have been.

Nah man, those sections just took patience and timing. Its not a game for everyone, but those that it is meant for like myself enjoyed it thoroughly. you are entitled to not enjoy it. Different stokes for different folks. it also helps I like Joe Mads art and really dug the story line and characters.

Perfect Dark, Oblivion, Gears of War and Saints Row were great games. (still are as far as oblivion is concerned.)

delta3074

Perfect dark 0 is a horrible game. The only awesome game on that list is Gears and the reason why i purchased a 360. before that it was bleh.

yet every game on that list is critically acclaimed, nice opinion mate.

Have you ever played PDZ? it is really bad. It might be my opinion, but many share it. It was way overhyped cause there was nothing else. giving it a 9 is ridiculous.

ah i remember Dark Siders... definately one of the most frusterating and boring games i've ever played, i did not like it one bit...

lotusclown

Out of curiosity, what did you find frustrating?

there are tons of repetitive aggrevating moments in that game, one scene where u gotta make your way across this sand field avoiding a giant worm that pops out with no warning for a 1 hit kill, getting past it required luck not skill.. another part even more frusterating in particular is where u gotta use this portal shooting thing u get to make your way up and around a palace your in, controller throwing rage inducingly HARD as F**K! its been years since i played it.. but i remember it was also just... boring.. there is no replay value to be enjoyed whatsoever, and the action sequences were poorly done and not entertaining at all.. it had great sound, great music, super good graphics but imo it was just a really bad game, just aweful..

Neither of those parts are difficult at all. maybe its just not your type of game.

[QUOTE="Riverwolf007"]yeah it was terrible, not counting kameo, call of duty 2, perfect dark, oblivion, project gotham 3, gears of war, ghost recon, rainbow 6, hitman, dead rising, saints row, fear, viva pinata condemned, amped 3 and ace combat 6.

mysticstryk

your proud of that list?

[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"][QUOTE="wewantdoom4now"]

u cant adjust quickturn speed crimson furys is too fast and retarded compared to him even in part 1.

wewantdoom4now

It's a QUICK turn. Why would want to slow down a QUICK turn?

u cant turn around and line up ur shot worth a **** compared to part 1.

it's retarded

You just suck at the game. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, its awesome. At first I was getting pwned by the AI, but now I dominate, and online, total domination. Its as much twisted metal as any other one of the good games in the franchise.

[QUOTE="tommyas"][QUOTE="mazdero"]

no idea. it kept telling me to log into steam and it wouldn't and i couldnt start up the game. I don't want to have to log into anything to play a game I payed for.

Justforvisit

I think that steam should offer you offline mode if you cannot login? Unless the game itself requires internet access, if its only steam that prevents it, steam can run in offline.

Though true, you have to be Online in Steam to activate Offline Mode at all.

If you are offline and haven't switched it to Offline Mode and don't have access to an Online Connection anywhere you're pretty much f**ked.

That's also the reason why mine is almost always in Offline Mode, except I want to buy a new game there of course.

Though I also highly recommend not using it for new games, in my case I like a solid CD copy way better there. But it's great for old(insert theone word that is ridicolously forbidden atGameSpot -.-)games like Deus Ex or Thief.

I didn't even know you could switch it to offline mode.

Thats what happened to me, since my net was down I was screwed. I wish I had bought a disk copy. Next time I log in I'm gonna switch it to offline mode just in case I have an issue with my net again. I havent had an issue since but you never know.

Thanks for the info!!
