Kinda insane tbh, I guess TPC/Nintendo was afraid of Palworld possibly being backed by MS and Steam. Easier to go after smalltime modders releasing stuff for free I guess.
I bet it wasn't ready to launch and they needed extra time anyway, so why not drum up extra public attention and link your game to a very successful franchise?
@joecollin:It's an incredibly obvious joke but paired with a real sentiment. idk wtf your post is though, crying about an obvious joke and then taking a random left field pot shot at Gen Z? That's ironically an incredibly Gen Z thing to do.
@lon3wolf2002: SE would charge anywhere from $40 to $50 on their site for that plush. Art book can easily go for $20+ and a CD soundtrack can go for as cheap as $10 but that's just one disc, so multiply here by six. Add the extra $20 for fancy box. This is probably one of the less egregious SE CE's I've seen.
People that like to own (digitally) the original versions of games, consider grabbing Gex since it had a new collection announced. You can no longer buy the original Baldur's Gate 1/2 because they were replaced by the "Enhanced" versions listed up for sale above.
@BloodMist: Personally I've felt this to be the fact for multiple generations now. This is all revenge for the majority of people not paying $599.99 for PS3's at launch.
They had data leaks for Ghostface around the time the game came out almost a year ago. One could say that the audio actually proves it will happen but we also had audio for Ash in the last game, which they ended up not being able to get the license rights for and had to can the character. I imagine likeness rights for Ghostface from Fun World are relatively easy to get but if they want the voice and ties to the Scream franchise they'll need Paramount. The game Dead By Daylight opted only for likeness and instead created original lore for a Ghostface in a different universe. COD went further and got the rights to use the voice and label the DLC with the Scream movie logo.
