This has happened to me before. You should try turning the computer off taking out the video card and ram put it back, clear cmos, the press F8 if you get a message. If that doesn't work clear your cmos, then quickly try to get into your bios and choose an option like restore to the last working setting or something like default settings.
It should work if it's the type of problem I think it is.
Yup, that's pretty much what happened. Since I Dell didn't give me a reinstall cd, I think I have to buy another copy of Windows right? Well, I do not want to spend too much money so I am thinking about getting Windows XP home edition and then use my upgrade cd to get Media Center back.
Now before I do that I would like to ask a couple of questions. 1. What do I NOT get when I buy the OEM copy of windows instead of the retail version? 2. Is buying Windows again the only solution when i do not have an install cd? 3. Since I am in the market for a new operating system, should I think about getting a copy of Vista OEM?
I am a gamer so if a lot of games are not supported by Vista then that would really be a problem.
