Put away the torches and pitchforks people. Since when is it wrong to say something like this about a project that you've put a lot of time and effort into? Especially through a medium like Twitter. This wasn't a press release or a games expo. Mr. Wells hasn't been going around telling everyone that the multiplayer in The Last of Us is the greatest thing ever. He just said it in much the same way that I imagine I would if this was my project and I was really excited about it. You know, with a tone of excitement. This statement isn't a part of the so-called "hype machine". It's just a guy who likes what he's produced and wants to do some well-earned bragging.
Props to MachineGames for not hopping on the multiplayer bandwagon. I hope this game turns out great and makes a lot of money. This could be what the shooter genre needs - a wake up call telling devs that a good story is actually just as important as tweaking the multiplayer component.
@Jimn_tonic I disagree. I think it looks cool. I also like the lack of a stereotypical soldier walking away from an explosion, gun in hand. Kudos to machinegames for mixing things up, eh?
I'm just going to daydream that this game would have been awesome, and not a total perversion of everything that is Megaman. It's more agreeable that way.
@Fembot_Eulogy @meleekill989 True. Unless Msoft buries themselves, which seems like a possibility at this point. Nintendo is more or less stagnated (sad, but true). I've always liked the Playstation consoles as well, though they really need to pull out the stops with PS4 in order to keep it from sinking like the PS3 did at first. Otherwise this generation could prove the end of Sony consoles. I know there's the whole PC gaming elitists joke, but as a (mostly) console gamer, I have to wonder why I put up with less control over what I get and the games I can play, not to mention not having the added fun of mods, when I could just build a PC?
