Yesterday I told investors that I thought I would have a 10 million dollar business by years end. Hell if I care about being accurate, so long as these idiots give me money.
GS has some 5200 stores. I was a manager there when the shipments came down and I saw those, and go into my store every so often and they let me see how the actual res are coming down through the region (which will be about company avg.) It's 45 per store. 230,000 units. I should note that ps4 has over double that.
Dude, I was a manager at GS when the system allocations came down and go into my old store every now and then to see how things are progressing. X1 had 1/3 the available units at that time and though they keep upping how many they're getting it's pretty clear that the initial shipment GS had on ps4 is still at least 30% more than the X1 has made available to ship.
Think of it this way, game companies charge retailers nearly $60 for each game. Retailers make about $2-3 per game sale. Not a soul alive would think that's a sustainable business model. Gamestop found a way around not being able to survive, allowing them to expand a business whose core model wouldn't work. Now these morons want to gouge retailers again, whilst putting blame on the retailers they're screwing. It's pretty sick.
Well, next gen you'll have the perfect opportunity to prove your beliefs. Don't let us trade in your game and see how much Gamestop actually hurts your business.
