The "insane fill-rate" that Factor 5 said that the Wii has, would make more complex shaders possible on the Wii. Devleopers have already said that the Wii can "mimmick" the Xbox360 and PS3 shaders, obviously it would have to be done on the TEV since it does not have "programmable shaders".

You're also forgetting that the Wii's CPU is a Power PC at 729MHz compared to the Xbox1's Pentium 3 at 733MHz. The Power PC murders the Pentium 3 in benchmarks.

Acutal performance for the Wii's Power PC CPC at 729MHz is equal to about 1.5GHz

Yes developers need to be creative with shaders, but the Wii definitely CAN do them just in a different way. Why is that so hard to understand people?

Does Super Mario Galaxy look like it lacks shaders? Many sites have said that Mario Galaxy looks just as good as some 360 games.

How mad does that make you now?

Did any of you actually read the article? Games like Alien Syndrome do not push the Wii's graphical power (its a PSP game with Wii controls). It is not about what you have seen so far from the Wii but the potential that the Wii has that Third Parties are not using.

You Xbox360 and PS3 fanboys seem to forget that the Gamecube was about on par with the Xbox1 in terms of graphics. Look at Rebel Strike and Resident Evil 4, they looked just as good as any of the best looking Xbox games. You're telling me that the Wii will not be able to look better than Xbox1 in the future? The Wii has a different architecture from any other system, to make games look awesome on the Wii developers need to go about their business in a different way from how they did with Xbox1. Otherwise they won't get results. Its not hard to do, its just different -like a Mac compared to a Dell. Good developers who know how the Wii works with its Texture Environment Unit(TEV) will see that the Wii has much more potential than the Xbox1. Also, the Wii's Power PC CPU destroys the Pentium 3 in the Xbox....its not even close.

Another point of the article is the quote from the CEO of Factor 5 who knows the Wii has a ton of potential just from seeing what they did with Rebel Strike, and that game is 4 years old now.

Read the article again or for the first time.

I would rather they do the Resident Evil 4 perspective on RE2 and RE3 because RE1 has been played out.

I've e-mailed Capcom about whether or not they'll try to bring Resident Evil 5 to the Wii in the future, I gave good reasons why they should. I can't wait for a response.

If sales were anything to go by then Capcom should already be hard at work on RE5 for the Wii. The reason is that RE4 is selling great on the Wii and should reach 500,000 copies sold worldwide very soon. Not bad for a 2 year old game released for the third time. Resident Evil 5 Wii should be a no brainer for Capcom.

I tried to play it recently after renting it. The game looks worse than Perfect Dark on the N64! I was actually laughing at how horrible the graphics were in this game, a truly terrible looking game on the Wii that was only made for a quick buck. The controls were nice though I will admit, such a shame that you could tell that the game was made with no effort being put in the presentation. Wii is not about graphics right? Well it is about graphics when the graphics are so bad they detract from gameplay when you can't even tell if something is a shadow or a pixelated mess of crap.

You look at this game and then compare it to Ubisoft's latest effort in Far Cry 2 and you can see how much time they actually spent with Far Cry Vengeance. I'm pretty sure this was a very very old PS2 or Gamecube version of the game that just go Wii controls put into it.

I've seen the actual in-game trailer for RE5 and yes it looks awesome and beyond what the Wii could do, BUT from a gameplay point of view it looks the same as RE4. Capcom could easily make this game on the Wii.

The Wii is actually able to mimmick the same shaders as the 360 and PS3 and it is also able capable of the same motion blur effects and HDR lighting that the other systems do. This all has to do with the TEV in the Wii. While it is not the same as DirectX9 it can do same things but in a different way and in lower resoluition of course. The Wii has deceptive power that no one has seen (actually have you seen Mario Galaxy? Looks better than some Xbox360 games) that a good developer like Capcom should take advantage of. Even if a developer spends a good amount of money on making a Wii game that uses all the power of the system, it will still cost them millions less than making the same game on PS3 or Xbox360.

Developers go where the money is, just ask the PS2.

Wii=PS2 for dominance so far.

They could totally make RE5 for the Wii, I don't see the problem with porting it over. YES I KNOW the graphics will not look as good as the 360 version but that shouldn't stop Capcom from porting it. Ever heard of lowering the settings in a PC game to make it run better? The same can apply for RE5 on the Wii. If Capcom wants to see some profit from this game, then they should release this game on the Wii its really a stupid move if they don't.

The Ada Wong side quest was built only on the PS2 so in bringing it to the Wii they needed to update all the lighting, textures and polygons. People were worried that the Ada missions would look the same (not as good) as the PS2 version because Capcom was not saying anything about it to confirm it or not.
