We are all in agreement then. I played this one after not having played it in quite a while. The graphics alone make this one great.

[QUOTE="mike7677"][QUOTE="SolidusRex"][QUOTE="mike7677"][QUOTE="SolidusRex"]Well doing some more researched I learned that I guess I need digital cable for all the channels to look better. I might be willing to get this and at the same time I suppose I can pick up those few (10 or so) HD channels that my provider has but heres another question. If I have the HD built in tuner do I need a HD box from my cable provider or is the box from the digital cable plan all I need?SolidusRex
Yes you will need the box. The box can be connected by way of component cable by converting a dvi into hdmi. For your cable itself you will notice a difference between basic and digital. And then again between digital(480i) and high definition(1080i) I like the box because it's the only way to get ON Demand. Who's your cable company btw?

Comcast. So I need to pay another montly fee for the HD box? If thats correct I have to pay a monthly fee for standard cable, then pay for the digital service, then pay for the remote and box, then pay for the HD box as well? If thats true than the HD box really isnt worth it because we don't get many HD channels here.

I have Comcast also. Yes, the box will cost you slightly more a month, but not much. My story with Comcast: They had a package deal which had the high definition channels, (locals plus PBSHD, DiscoveryHD, this one is well worth the look, INHD and ESPNHD.) So for $7 /month that's what I got. But then they had a package deal, including digital cable and the HD channels for $7. So now I'm getting digital cable at a low price plus the rental of the box. My favorite though is On Demand. There's HD content on there too.

Would you or anyone else here recommend an HDMI cable for my set top box to my HDTV? Or would I not see that much of a difference?

I did not notice that much of a difference. If my configuration changes in the future, I might consider it

Batteries for those things are $70 a pop, if that's the problem Also, make sure the iPod isn't locked. That's that sliding switch on top of the iPod. Mkae sure it's not on the red position. I say this because it's happened to me on occasion

You got a warranty on that thing? If so, you'll void it if you open it. If not, prepare for the inevitablity of buying a new one. Get a warranty on the new one.
