if you have large hands, you might feel the lite's buttons positioned a little close but you'll get used to it pretty quickly. i recommend it for its larger stylus (a good thing) and for its screens. plus, the phat (original ds) has a weird screen positioning. after never seeing a phat in like 6 months, my friend came over with his phat and i just held it. what a clunky piece of crap(cosmetically). and then the top screen was like 1cm forward. like its closer than the bottom screen. so its like looking at letters like this :Actually, I have really big hands. I've adapted.

so definitely the lite. you won't regret it (unless you have really large hands).

i havent played pokemon in about 5 or 6 years (since silver and gold) and then I see that a new one is coming out for ds. i just decided to look it up and to my suprise it looks pretty sweet. battles (with a ranking system) and trading online all over the world, randomly even with people you dont know. i think thats pretty amazing. i mean who doesnt want to own up online, and who doesnt want to trade for a pokemon, that your to lazy to catch or cant find, from someone on the other side of the planet. My story is about the same. I'm really looking forward to it on this format.
I can tell you what im going to be doing on April 22nd and beyond.

Also, not every upscaler is good you know. Did you read reviews to check which ones are the best. You need to spend atleast $200 or so, like an Oppo.Quite true. They're not all made the same. My example of this is a Sony dvd upscaler , to which, when you look at it, didn't impress me all that much. After that I got an RCA HDDVD player. I expected a lot out of it, and I wasn't disappointed. For upconversion, blew the Sony out of the water.
Don't expect anything amazing when you do get HDMI even with the best upscaler.
