I'd love to know how people commenting in this thread know how hard or easy it is to make games for different consoles? Are you developers for MS or Sony?
@nurnberg @mikemaj82 oh yea? Well I have knowledge of both, and it is much easier to land a store management position than a software development position. And there is not only one guy that gets a position. There are multiple stores and multiple people get promoted every few months. Most people could NOT do this job..not at all. You have to be a special breed.
@Daedalusion @mikemaj82 so you base your games solely on the graphics? Sorry, I like fun games with replay value. The other night I was playing Super Mario Bros 3 with my friend and we had a blast.
console games are optimized for that console. Once you bring PCs into the picture, unless you have the perfect mix of a graphics card and CPU and sound, you're never going to match the performance of a console. And not everybody has PCs that can handle the requirements of every single game out there. And if you do, plan on upgrading in the next 6 months just to keep up. Meanwhile, I'll upgrade my console every 7 years or so.
