Metal gear solid 2: Sons of Liberty was virtually flawless. As one of the earliest PlayStation 2 games, it showcased how good the consoles graphics, and gameplay, was.

Halo: Combat Evolved

Although somewhat overrated, this great futuristic first-person shooter kept Microsoft's first console alive, with it's simplistic yet fun gameplay, it was truely a masterpiece.

Conker's Bad Fur Day

Being one of RareWare last truely great games, this game was truely great. With it's over-the-top violence, great multiplayer and corny jokes, this game did surprisingly well and was surprisingly fun.

Half-Life 2

Valve's sequel to the crazishly successful Half-Life was the creatively titled Half-Life 2. It launched the incredible Source engine, which launched a hell of a lot of mods. With it's great storytelling and gunplay, one of the few first-person shooter's that contradict this game is the original Half-Life itself.

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

This game was incredible, with is abnormally large map and the abnormally large amount of things to do, you couldn't put it down. You can tell the Bethesda put a hell of a lot of effort into this masterpiece.

Tony Hawk's Underground

Although EA's Skate was more revolutionary... I had a hell of a lot more fun with this one. With it's ****c gameplay and great story, this was the last good Tony Hawk's game.

If you have never played MGS2, and only the fourth one in the series, you might think this fellow is pretty cool. If you haven't, you had to experience the horrible wrath of Raiden. At first glance you think he is gay then you find out he has a girlfriend o.0... anyway, this Raiden bloke is mainly annoying because he stops you from playing the wicked awesome legendary Solid Snake... in the second installment.

Being a small fan of this series, and having played through all of them, MGS4 was exactly what I wanted; mostly cutscene. This game has been highly criticised by the fact that it's mostly cutscene, but I think I'm one of the few people who liked it that way.

Second Sight

This incredible, yet incredibly underrated game had the perfect mix of stealth, action and storytelling. You play as John Vattic, who forgot his memory and woke up with superpowers. I won't spoil anything because I highly reccomend it, buy it off Steam for $9.99!

Phew! Good thing I got those covered. For Christmas I got a 32GB Ipod Touch, Skate 2 for PS3, The Presets: Apocalypso CD, The Prodigy: Invaders Must Die special edition CD and... clothes, chocolate, lollies, you know... the usual.

umm...

Early this month I bought AudioSurf off Steam and I love it, I've played over 20 hours and I do recommend it... If you're one of those people who just sit on the computer listening to music, this is how you do it the fun way. So for Christmas the game went from $9.99 to $2.50 so I bought a copy for my 5 friends who use steam, just because I'm sharing the love XD.

I'm loving my Ipod and Skate 2, I've both lost a lot of good ours of my life into them, although it was worth it.

Call me weird but I don't want Modern Warfare 2 at all whatsoever. It just seems like an expansion to CoD4 which doesn't seem like it's worth my $100. One game I do want a lot is Uncharted 2 though, although I've never played the first one... do I need to?

what else is there to talk about... umm...

I've still been using Steam quite a bit, it's an awesome little application for getting casual, and clas*ic games although I would never buy a more recent game off the network merely because of the download times. Our internet is still terribley (spelling of terribely looks weird, is it wrong?) slow, and we are still hoping to get a better one. Better do something about that.

I saw Avatar and it is the best movie I have ever seen in my life (as I said in my last blog), hoping to see it in cinema's again sometime... that's how awesome it was. 10/10, 5 stars whatever, just see it, I highly reccommend it.

Umm... I've been listening to A Day to Remember, The Prodigy, The Presets, 30H!3 (sp?), Sum 41 and many more...

I've been away for a while... well not really, just haven't posted a blog in a while... here it is. The reason I didn't bother was because I made a steam, and I'm loving it, so far I've bought Plants vs Zombies (awesome game, will review) and the Counter-Strike Complete Pack (CS 1.6, CS CZ, CS Source, Day of Defeat, Deathmatch Classic and Ricochet) which were both cheap and worth it. I just installed Ricochet then, and it seems like a very interesting game (it is a Half-Life 1 mod), in it you jump around flying from platforms to platforms shooting discs at eachother, well that's what I'm guessing you do... you see, the servers I search in all have a ping (or frequency) of over 1000... which means when I play them, I just stand there for a few seconds, unable to move, then fall down in to oblivion... which is very dissapointing. So I was wondering, anyone who has this game, is in Australia and had a good internet, comment on this blog and please offer to host a game sometime. I would love to play it. Thanks

5. Battlefield: Bad Company

This game is not really underrated, more underappreciated. I think that if Call of Duty 4 never came out, this game would be where Call of Duty is now. See my full review here.(WARNING! This is one of my old reviews... they're cr*p.)

4. DRIV3R

Here's a game that a lot of you have played, and compared to GTA, therefore you hated it. Well I played this game before I played a GTA, therefore I loved it. See my full review here. (Another old review.)

3. Mirrors Edge

Now you've probably heard of this one, looked at the score of 7.0, and gone meh, screw it. I'm here to tell you that this game is amazing, but it really comes down to taste, look at some gameplay videos.

2. Second Sight

One epic game, you are John Vattic, you woke up in a medical research facility and can't remember anything. You have superpowers; like teleknesis, and things get messy. It has an amazing storyline and tells it perfectly, highly reccomended.
