Why the hell can't we forget about race and gender. Why can't we all just be people and stop bitching about it. Just treat each other as people rather than as a race or a gender.
@WIGGLENOMICS @mirage_so3 I never once commented on color. I made a joke that you can insult white men all you want. My comment was based on sexism as a lot of people have been talking about. Developers should be allowed to do what they want. If they want a minority lead good for them I'm not gonna complain. You pretend to not be prejudiced but you were quick to judge me as a racist from one joke I made and started complaining about white people. But they're white people so what does it matter right? You have no idea what race I even am you jackass.
@Shanks_D_Chop @mirage_so3 People tend to associate how a woman looks in things like movies and on tv with sexism. I don't think making a woman look sexy is sexist, I believe exaggerating the sexy look to please the men is what is sexist. Such as drawing women with ridiculously large breasts and an extremely thin waste that would suggest that the weight of their breasts alone would be enough to break their back.
These issues come up too often in every facet of life these days. Can't offend anyone, except for a white male. Who cares about white males? I think people are too caught up in a characters looks. Sure some character designs do push the limit such as the new MGS character but that doesn't mean women should all be portrayed dressed "not sexily." Heavenly sword is my favorite ps3 game ever. The main lead was a women and she was dressed to be "sexy." But her boobs weren't ridiculously huge and she wasn't dressed in nothing but a bra. But, the main character was a STRONG character without losing her feminine appeal. She f**ked sh*t up and looked damn good doing it. Not every woman needs to be a "strong woman" however. Not every woman is a strong woman, just the same way that these people want men to show their feminine side. The problem is we ARE different. It's not bad to show us as different, it's only when we exaggerate the stereotypes that it is harmful. Japan is a good example of this, their characters in popular anime tend to have ridiculously large breasts simply for sake of fan service. Look at Nami's new outfit in one piece. THAT'S what I would call sexist.
