@doorselfin: The last season of Samurai Jack started with very mature themes such as the morality of killing and dealing with thoughts of suicide. After episode 3 it became about his love interest. The final season did not have to be about romance, they could have done whatever they wanted. The way they finished Aku was sudden and unsatisfying.
I'm not a feminist myself but I get tired of how men and women can't have a relationship outside of a romantic one in these stories.
I'm fairly tired of this trend honestly. Logan was cool because it wasn't the typical super hero story but this is just another origin story for another super hero character I don't really care about. Nothing about it stands out to me.
@Dragon_Nexus: I blame the audiences. They always cheer romance for some reason. The final season of Samurai Jack became about romance and people cheered.
