Back to school!

I know, it's a week later, but so what? Welcome back to school to those gamers (like myself) that are getting an education.

I haven't been able to play any video games, but right now, I'm working on the awesomeness that is "Bioshock". Well, vacation's coming up and I only work two out of the four days. So, gaming time perhaps? Indeed.

Otherwise, nothing new. Happy gaming and happy semester!

To all Xbox360 owners/Silent Hill fans...

Listen up, if you're playing Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams on your 360, there is some glitches you must know about. For more information about the said glitches and some possible solutions, please consult this link: www.silenthillforum.co.uk/forum, then go to "Silent Hill 2", click the thread "SH2 Now Playable on the Xbox 360" and read the second post.

These glitches do not ruin the system itself, they just make playing the game very frustrating (and somewhat impossible).

I thought I was immune, but alas, I discovered just last night that I'm not.

Also, make an effort to email Microsoft about this, and any other Xbox games, that's giving you grief.

For the health and happiness of 360 owners who love Silent Hill... happy gaming!

Pardon the fangirl moment...

I'm so psyched: they announced Silent Hill V on the Xbox360 and had more stuff about Silent Hill Origins!

*Squeals and runs around house*

And like Tomb Raider: Anniversary, I seem to be one of the few not critical of the new game. I'm not trying to say that I'm better than anyone, but it sounds like some people are coming off as ungrateful. I dunno, I'm just happy that the dang game even exists.

So, best of luck to the developers, may the game keep its charm and have some new stuff in the mix.

That's about it for now. As always, happy gaming.

2 games in 2 days

First off, a happy 4th of July to everyone! Be safe with those firecrackers!

I had a few days off from work, so I decided to catch up on some gaming. I finished "Haunting Ground" yesterday and "Bully" about an hour ago.

I'm sad that I finished those two, they were tons of fun. Well, I can go earn more stuff, but that's about it.

Nothing much else. Take care now and as always, happy gaming.

Update

Well, after whining to myself about not owning "Bully", I finally bought it. And go fig, I'm now stuck.

After months of waiting, I also got "Tomb Raider: Anniversary". I seem to be the only one disappointed with it. I know it's not a direct remake, but they cut my favorite level in half (the Cistern)! As graphically gorgeous it is and even fun (unless you keep dying/messing up too many times to count), it has left me feeling "blah".

I also got the second Max Payne game on the Xbox for very cheap.

Side-note: The managers at my job have decided to keep me permanantly! I now have a steady job for the first time in four years.

There's nothing much else. Take care now and happy gaming!

Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's Song Wishlist

Okay, another Police song. Awesome, awesome. I dig some of the newer additions, but they should look at other genres too. They're forgetting there is classic rock.

I have a few song ideas (by this I will reveal how much of an 80's classic rock nerd I am):

Fleetwood Mac: "Gypsy" (it can be the slow love song, like "Crazy on You" was in GHII)

John Fogerty: "The Old Man Down the Road"

Dire Straits: anything (their music would be perfect for this series)

Lindsey Buckingham: "Trouble" (has some nice single-note parts)

Bruce Springsteen: anything (I'm kinda shocked he hasn't been added at all, his stuff's legend)

Christopher Cross: "Sailing" (the beginning would be awesome to play, yet it would be a slow one)

Godley & Creme: "Cry" (although it sounds bass-heavy)

Crowded House: "Don't Dream It's Over"

Prince: anything (see Bruce Springsteen)

Steve Miller Band: "Abracadabra"

Tears for Fears: "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" (although it may be heavy on synth)

Tom Petty: "Free Fallin'" (it'll be great alone to the first part)

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: "The Waiting" (c'mon, there needs to be some of their songs in the game anyway!)

The Who: "Eminence Front" (may have to shorten the first synth part)

If not on the 80's release, then maybe the third game?

~~

As for gaming, it's been slow for me. I've been working on many games, mainly "Max Payne". I miss "Bully", I need to buy it (I rented it).

As always, happy gaming and best wishes.

Hydrophobia and Alan Wake

The two games mentioned in the title are games heading to the 360 sometime in the future (hopefully before 2012, Lord knows what will happen then).

When you have time, and you also own a 360, check out the games (because it would be unfair to look at a cool game and there is no way in the world you'll ever have the system). They look amazing, especially Hydrophobia.

On a happy note, I'm working temporarily for the summer so... yea money!

Wish me luck, I'm going to tackle my first novel this summer! Games will be my reward for a daily writing regime.

Fellow college students, hang in there! Finals are coming to an end.

Until next time, happy gaming and happy studying.

A point to make and some good news...

A Note on the Virginia Tech tragedy:

May there be peace in the hearts of the ones who lost someone that day. May the recoveries of the 14 wounded be swift. May justice (in whatever form) be served. May the 32 souls taken away be in peace. May the whole campus heal and live again.

I ask everyone who reads this blog... take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Use all your senses and protect yourself, especially to those like me that are currently in school.

On a lighter note... I finally bought the Xbox 360, yea! I managed to get everything I needed to play (and not leave the house for the weekend). Now, it's time to play and save for the DS... and yet I have no job, go fig.

Note: if you have wireless Internet and plan to buy a 360, don't buy the wireless adapter. Instead, hook your 360 up to the router of your wireless Internet. Big thanks to my good friend fakersinc for this money-saving and painless tip.

Even without a HD TV, the graphics are gorgeous. I know that is a popular fact, but I had to see it for myself.

As always, happy gaming to all...

Games galore!

My local game store was having a sale and I managed to snag Metal Gear Solid 2-3 and Max Payne for cheap! I"m pretty stoked. Now, if I only had the time to play them...

Ciao for now,
