Hello,

I just bought the slim ps3 (160gb, not the bundle slim) to replace my older ps3 and i am getting these really loud noises when the blue-ray player is reading a game, especially when playing a game (Black ops 2).

Is this normal? or should i go exchange it?

I have the same PS3, generally I dont have any sounds, but specifically when I was playing MW3 it always made some wierd sound.

I'm excited to see the hitman one, for now you got the Splinter Cell Seriers, the God of War Collection, and I'm going to check out now the Jak & Daxter one

Well if you bought it used the code probably won't work anyway. You need the online pass to play online. Say you get internet on your PS3 and the code doesn't work, you can always buy one from the in game store or the Playstation store for 10 bucks.

Exactly, once you hook it up, go online and try to see if it works, if not then you need to buy the online pass code (10$) to be able to play online. Amazing game though, expecially the multiplayer.

It had a great idea, but its integration with the rest of the system was a failure.

Unless they find a way to integrate it with the xmb...well there is no hope for it.

there are portions in the game where you play as her and see whats going in the city, but dont want to spoil anything. I found it to be quite entertianing and gives the story something extra and works really well. also there are Riddler trophies in pink around the city for you to chase as well.

I like the XMB layout. They could fix the music files layout though. As for the PS store, I actually prefer it over the past PS store because the games are much larger where the past PS store was showing tiny barely readable games.

So you have trouble navigating along a straight line? This is what you're saying? I've never understood these complaints, personally. The XMB is a very simple, logical set up. If you can't read and/or have trouble moving left to right and up and down, then maybe I can see your point. But it's perfectly functional despite your disability.Kravyn81

Actually, it has plenty of room for imporvement and the fact that within a game when you access it there are so many useless items that can be removed (since they cannot even operate or be accessed during gameplay )to improve performance and messaging as well. I have to open the Ps store or read that tiny bar in the top right to know what new, PS Home is uterly useless, but integrating some of its features with the XMB is pretty nice.

I'm hoping in 2013 that the PS3 XMB will be revamped. Things need to move forward, they changed the PS store and it looks nice and functions well too. But the XMB now needs to follow and have a new look and function.

I like it, and now I'm hoping they will update the XMB.
