Is the PS3 version of UT 3 any good? The controls i am afraid might not be as good as the PC version but i would like to know how you think it is.DarxPhil

Havn't played the PC version, but yes it is worth it. You can tweak the control sensitivity and other settings.

I've also had no problems since launch. Most likely you were connecting to servers with high ping and those will drop you, make the frame stutter, and probably also freeze your game. They probably told you to switch copies to either get you off the phone or because you got someone who has no knowledge of games, hardware, networking, etc. Either way, I have been playing days and days of of this game and all my matches move at blistering speed. You can't take the ping for granted in this game...

Can anyone tell me if there will be crash junctions in this game, like in burnout 2 (revenge, I think it was?). I read that they got rid of aftertouch and shunting which is extremely dissappointing to me. I think I can live with the open ended world change as long as there are still the massive pile-ups at the crash junctions...otherwise it seems like it would bejust likeNFS, not the burnout I knew and loved. So does anyone know if there will be crash junctions?

would u say ut3 would have more replay value cuz of user created maps or call of duty 4 for the great story mode?coltss

UT3 user created mods made it worth buying IMHO, but if you really want CoD4 too now is the time to get it...under $40 at Best Buy. I'd go with UT3, but to each his own.

I rented cod4 and started playing the single-player which was great, tried to connect to the online once and it did't work or took forever so I didn't really bother with it, but it seems like there are tons of feature and ways to play online and I'm sure it probably works fine or people would be rioting over it. I don't really care for Activision much anymore though because of the rock band patch block. I am playing UT3 now and I think it is great. Amazing graphics, fast-paced brutal gameplay, and FREE user created maps and content which have already started coming out and look fantastic....can't beat that for replay value. I'm sure both are great games, but my decision was UT3.

I have both and I think Rock band is waybetter, even in single player if you can get yourself to sing and play guitar at the same time for the Band World Tour (best mode in the game). The drums are also alot of fun and pretty challenging, for me at least. I really doubt I'll buy any more Guitar Heroes or maybe even anything Activision since they decided to hose ps3 owners by c-blocking the patch that would let the Les Paul work with Rock Band. The only thing I like better about GH3 is the guitar because the strum bar clicks, the Fender has a mushy strum bar which works okay (you just barely tap it and it plays the note)but I find it hard to hit alot of fast notes in succession with it.

I just wondering if it has anything like burnout two, where you slam into the middle of a busy intersection or something and cause a 300 car pileup while doing aftertouch into multipliers and all that...I loved that part of the game.

Does this game still have the point A to point B cause as big a collision as possible factor to it? I played the demo briefly and it seemed like I kept ending up at the same stop lights which were races and stuff. These were nice but is the massive collision mayhem factor still a part of it?

I guess the most obvious thing would be if there are any obstructions between the router's signaland the ps3...mainly walls, floors, or ceilings,I guess. Wireless is more unreliable by nature because of the collision avoidance. Even being hard-wired I still get disconnected from the PSN network while idle sometimes, but never in-game. You could try eliminating things like WEP authentication or whatever wireless security you're using and any firewalls, maybe put the ps3 on a dmz but it could just be a weak signal...
