Okay, just saw you said you have a combo modem/router, been up a bit. Have you tried Sony's support yet...maybe they can tell you what the error code means. Just offhand, when googling that model router I see a bunch of people complaining about firmware updates. Do you know someone else with an internet connection that you could test your ps3 on...as inconvenient as that sounds...

Umm... how do you bypass the router? Cause I think I have a combination modem and router. I have a Linksys WAG54G V.2 (at leastI think it's 54)
He is saying remove your router completely and connect your PS3 directly to your modem and he is right, you should make sure it is the router before you start messing with the configuration IMHO
I've done really well with mine so far, I haven't launched it across the room once yet. I managed to beak loads pf PS2 controllers by throwing them on the floor in a fit of angerwilko1971
Not sure what theyre going for these days, but it seemed steep when I bought my extra controller 4 months or so after launch so that alone would keep me from hurling it.
as always it was only a matter of time. my anger gets the best of me and i just smashed my my SIXAXIS into pices! oh well the PS button and the Start button still work so i can still play UTIII but thats it! well and GT!jackle2071

I've never used craig's list, but I hear they're cracking down on the hookers that advertise their. Also, that one story about someone listing another persons house as a come take whatever you want free-for-all type deal while he was on vacation and he got cleaned out... Like I said, I've never used it but it doesn't sound to savory.
Im curious, are people experiencing lag and freezes connecting to servers with low ping specifically?Once I started maiking an effort to play on the low ping servers the difference was like night and day...
Also, my suggestion would be to do a find game instead of quick match and choose a server with low ping. You are much less likely to have connectivity problems that way
