I believe that they have to honor it, but my situation was a little different. I went into a sprint store and I noticed that they had one of their palm pilot phones for only 60, and the other comparable were about 300. They said it was a mistake, and I wasn't going to choose it because the monthly rates for those phones are insane, but they said they would honor it but as soon as I walked away, they would take it down and wouldn't have to honor it anymore. Of course my situation was in the store. (most place, especially if you walked into the store, with a little bit of pressure they would eventually give you the deal, with a phone call they probably wouldn't care as much)

Wasn't linkafied so I didn't click but let me guess multiplats? If that's the case everyone knows exclusive games is how you see what a console os capable of.Eddie-Vedder

I guess we should all judge something based on things that only it can do according to Eddie-Vedder. There is a reason why when you take a test at school, you take the same test as your classmates.

Gamespot compares the multiplatform games because they can compair them with accurate results. If anything, you should blame Sony for not putting the importance of having a system that can handle multiplatform games better. I can't believe people always say "Lazy devs". They don't want to have to work hard to get around an inferior version. Infact I bet they love to complain about the PS3 just as much as you like to complain about the games they are making for the ps3.

unless there are motherboards compatible with both amd, and ati, I'm almost postive that not only will your motherboard not work because it is AMD, but also because it is too old. Infact, the new intel processors which are comming out this year will not work on any motherboards released so far.

4:3, you get better screen space for the size of the moniter, unless its a crt.

Of course widescreen has it's plusses as well. I have a 17 inch that I love (non widescreen) and a 24 inch. I use the 17 inch almost all of the time, of course I haven't done any serious gaming in a while. I would say that I enjoy non widescreen more when I'm working in windows, but widescreen is a blast for many types of gaming.

That was hilarious, the guy who said it was important to be able to make 300 actions per minute. A good player is one who knows exactly what actions to make, and only takes one effort to do it. Not clicking on where you want the unit to go 10 times.

it seems to me that if I can get the G92 for only $200

MSI NX8800GTS 512M OC GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Then it's not that more expensive than a single 9600gt, and I can sli it later.

So basically, its a shame that the intel mobo's are better, but don't support the better video cards in sli. How does the 750i compare to the 780i or 790i? I wasn't planning on buying ddr3 ram, it might be nice for upgradibility but does ddr3 ram benefit gaming?
EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

would this be the mobo that

It's odd that it says its 1333/1066MHz and yet it says under features

"SLI
EVGA Design, enthusiasts design for overclocking, FSB of 1600MHz+
PCI-e: 2x16 Hardware ready
SATA: 4 SATA Right Angled"

Btw: Vista comes in 32bit and 64bit, why aren't they included in the same package? Does the retail version include both

Which combination would be best performance to cost ratio with some possible overclocking?

And would that be worth it over the

I have a nice 17 inch LCD which I use for regular use. Mostly wc3 and that is why I haven't upgraded in so long. But I recently bought a 24in last fall. I occasionally pull that out for FSX, but I don't have a pc yet that can run FSX smoothly at 1920 x 1200.

I don't know how much I care about having most games on such a large display. But maybe I'd learn to love it, who knows.

Anyways, you mentioned GO Stepping. Is this quad go stepped? (I googled it and they mentioned that It should be in the manufactured details but I checked and can't find anything about it) A quad would probably be good since Alan Wake may require quads to run efficiently.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor Model HH80562PH0568M - OEM

it can come bundled with Rosewill RCX-Z775-EX 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - Retail with a $25 discount. I've never been that cool with overclocking, just because it makes me nervous, but if it's known to run cool, and I bought that heatsink, then I think I'd do it. When I bought my 3500+, I didn't think once about overclocking.

Btw: I'm going to look into the different graphic card solutions.

And does anyone know about my OS solution? It's near the beginning of my first post.

Also I just noticed

ASUS P5E LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

It's actually cheaper, it supports a higher FSB, its not a nvidia board though, although for 10 extra dollars, you get a free hd player, (why couldn't it be blu ray!)

Can anyone comment on comparrisons between the x38's, the 780i's, the x48's, and the 790i's.

Another update: if you are going to recommend sli 9600's (everytime I see that, it reminds me of ati) but there are 34 versions, it seems like each company has at least 4 versions of the same card. Some are 1gb, some are 512, but it seems like not one has the same clock speed.
