I believe that they have to honor it, but my situation was a little different. I went into a sprint store and I noticed that they had one of their palm pilot phones for only 60, and the other comparable were about 300. They said it was a mistake, and I wasn't going to choose it because the monthly rates for those phones are insane, but they said they would honor it but as soon as I walked away, they would take it down and wouldn't have to honor it anymore. Of course my situation was in the store. (most place, especially if you walked into the store, with a little bit of pressure they would eventually give you the deal, with a phone call they probably wouldn't care as much)
Wasn't linkafied so I didn't click but let me guess multiplats? If that's the case everyone knows exclusive games is how you see what a console os capable of.Eddie-Vedder
I guess we should all judge something based on things that only it can do according to Eddie-Vedder. There is a reason why when you take a test at school, you take the same test as your classmates.
Gamespot compares the multiplatform games because they can compair them with accurate results. If anything, you should blame Sony for not putting the importance of having a system that can handle multiplatform games better. I can't believe people always say "Lazy devs". They don't want to have to work hard to get around an inferior version. Infact I bet they love to complain about the PS3 just as much as you like to complain about the games they are making for the ps3.
4:3, you get better screen space for the size of the moniter, unless its a crt.
Of course widescreen has it's plusses as well. I have a 17 inch that I love (non widescreen) and a 24 inch. I use the 17 inch almost all of the time, of course I haven't done any serious gaming in a while. I would say that I enjoy non widescreen more when I'm working in windows, but widescreen is a blast for many types of gaming.
it seems to me that if I can get the G92 for only $200

Then it's not that more expensive than a single 9600gt, and I can sli it later.

I have a nice 17 inch LCD which I use for regular use. Mostly wc3 and that is why I haven't upgraded in so long. But I recently bought a 24in last fall. I occasionally pull that out for FSX, but I don't have a pc yet that can run FSX smoothly at 1920 x 1200.
I don't know how much I care about having most games on such a large display. But maybe I'd learn to love it, who knows.
Anyways, you mentioned GO Stepping. Is this quad go stepped? (I googled it and they mentioned that It should be in the manufactured details but I checked and can't find anything about it) A quad would probably be good since Alan Wake may require quads to run efficiently.

I've never been that cool with overclocking, just because it makes me nervous, but if it's known to run cool, and I bought that heatsink, then I think I'd do it. When I bought my 3500+, I didn't think once about overclocking.
Btw: I'm going to look into the different graphic card solutions.
And does anyone know about my OS solution? It's near the beginning of my first post.
Also I just noticed
ASUS P5E LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard - RetailIt's actually cheaper, it supports a higher FSB, its not a nvidia board though, although for 10 extra dollars, you get a free hd player, (why couldn't it be blu ray!)
Can anyone comment on comparrisons between the x38's, the 780i's, the x48's, and the 790i's.
Another update: if you are going to recommend sli 9600's (everytime I see that, it reminds me of ati) but there are 34 versions, it seems like each company has at least 4 versions of the same card. Some are 1gb, some are 512, but it seems like not one has the same clock speed.
