The startup sound starts about a half second late while the logo is playing and doesn't start at the beginning. I've only tested it through the Hdmi straight to the tv and using analog connections to a reciever (red and white). I will connect it soon optical fiber. The sound only starts late while going through the hdmi to the tv. Through the reciever, it doesn't have this problem. Also, all the sound works fine after that. Is there an explanable reason for this? Has anyone else noticed this?

Also, differen't question. I just got halo 2 (I've been a pc gamer for a while) and I noticed after using it the first time that it had several rings around it but it doesn't seem like they are scratches or at least not from the xbox. I've never heard any sort of scratching noise. In order to view them, you have to see it in a certain light. I think it would have to be an extremly fine laser to be able to produce these lines. No more lines have occured but I was just wondering because the perfect dark zero disk doesn't appear to have any. Could it just be lines created while burning the disk or something of that sort.

I posted this in its own topic but I realized it fits better here.
