Great article, Kevin! It's critical and unbiased, and I agree with a lot of the points made. However, the shallowness of the gameplay and setting is smoothed over by the level of detail and polish the game contains, in my opinion. I'm excited to see how the additional content changes the gameplay. I gave Destiny an 8 :D
Anyone play Tom Clancy's Endwar for 360? Granted, it had it's flaws, but the voice command system was pretty receptive for me, and I enjoyed the tactical aspect of the game and the vast amount of customization and modification you could apply to your squads. I agree that large-scale RTS's are way better with a mouse and keyboard, but more tactical games with smaller unit counts could be super fun on the console.
@xen0f0rm @PETERAKO actually, titanfall has pretty easy-to-run specs. I upgraded last year, and it was completely unnecessary. I can run Titanfall on my labtop with a GeForce 460 SE pretty damn smoothly, which is a 13 year old video card. granted, the resolutions and shading were low, but you don't need a pricey upgrade to play the game at a smooth resolution speed
@Karmazyn I played the beta for PC, and it was off the fuckin chain. Great game and it sounds like there is going to be a sizeable community to play with.
I've got a GE Force 760 GTX, and Titanfall ran like an absolute DREAM. Highly recommend trying it on PC, and using a 360 controller for it (I know, right?!?!?!?) I've been a mouse-and-keyboard guy all my life, and the 360 controller just works better with Titanfall, hands down in my opinion.
@AirDog80 @monstachruck Awesome! I was just curious how "customizable" the mechs were, and what their options were outside of the guns they carry. Really excited about the game. I appreciate the response!
