[QUOTE="WhiteSnake5000"]$1300-1700 isn't really a budget lol. That will get you a beast.mig_killer2

thats what i was gona say.he will be able to max like every single game with that kinda money

1700$ will get you awesome memory, probably a C2D E6600, and an 8800 GTX

anyways, this hardware guide from tomshardware.com will teach you how to put together a PC of your own

http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/12/14/how-to-build-a-pc-part-3/

With that kind of budget you could build pretty much the best system that money can buy right now...minus the SLI 8800 Ultras.

I spent about $1400 on the following system a month ago:

EVGA 8800gtx

AMD X2 5600+

2 GB DDR2 800 RAM

EVGA Nforce 590 SLI mobo

and all the other components that come with a computer minus the x-fi I swapped out from my last rig.

D9-THC

Pls, dude, a 5600+ is not the best processor, I just saw a quad core yesterday for 300 bucks get that senor!

costs a little under 2000 included tax/s&h:

A Dell XPS with Intel Core 2, E6420 Duo Processor, 2x2.13ghz, 4MB L2 Cache, 1066 FSB

2 GB DDR2 @ 667 Mhz

750 SATA drive @ 7200 RPMs

768 Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX

comes with 19" flat screen monitor

The Geforce is the main reason its so expensive, $600 on Dell's custom build. Its such a good card though. Any suggestions? thoughts? I feel that Ibuypower is shady and Alienware is overpriced, undersupported crap. I dont really want to build a system myself again either lol

PacoTaco

Pls don't buy that, build ur own! Dell rips out all of the unused pheriphals fyi.

[QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"]Save money and get a P35 DS3R from Gigabyte and get DDR2 800 RAM instead,you'll be MUCh happier.AARONRULZ1

I already have the ram from my old rig though, and i don't feel like spending 60-70 dollars for ddr2 800, i'm on a somewhat tight budget.

But still you're better off with the Gigabyte P35 DS3R.

OMFG IT HAS 6 RAM SLOTS!!!!!! OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG!!! Maybe I will get this one =D
