alright so i need some people to clear this up for me. My power supply has got 29A divided on 2 12V rails, and if i am correct 1 of those 2 rails goes to the cpu and the other 12V rail is for my gpu. Now to power up the card i want ( 8800gts 320mb), i need to have at least 26A AVAIBLE, but since my cpu is already using some power off the 1st rail, is there enough power left for the gpu? Because there is 14A for the cpu/gpu and 15A for the cpu/gpu. I would really like if you guys could clear this up for me, i probably just didnt get something that messed me over. Thanks in advance.greatmax1
Don't even worry about it, 320mb gts's run just fine on a 480w.
What do you think about this new rig? Still needs a better PSU, but I dont know what to buy yet.

Hmmm, I'm gonna give it a 3/5, but if u oc that core 2 duo, i'll give it a 4.25. I know someone that overclocked that puppy to 3.6 ghz on water-cooling.
So my dad just told me that our house hasn't been rewired since it was built in the late 20's! Atm I am using the 300w psu that came with my computer, and I need a 400w for an 8600gts. I've tried plugging in several things on the circuit, such as wii and xbox, and it seems to be fine, so would the 400w be okay?
Do you have an sli motherboard?, cause if so: http://shop2.outpost.com/product/4970851;jsessionid=wiviR-ewFx6ZrkxbXOnT9g**.node2?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
