[QUOTE="AARONRULZ1"][QUOTE="Manly-manly-man"]I am only going to play at 1600x1200, so the 640MB provides minimal performance boosts with less then 4xAA. And the Q6600 will probably perform better in games like Crysis, being as they are optimized for dual/quad core, not just dual core. I am sure UE3 games are like this as well, and UE3 is what most games coming out are based off of. At least FPS wise.wklzip

Get the 640MB version of the GTS,or better yet the HD 2900XT,both will outperform the GTS 320MB since they both have more RAM,and the HD 2900XT will rape both of them in Dx 10.

:o aaron recommending an ati card? :o :o MADNESS!!!!

Im not interested in DX 10 cards, just yet, becuz its kinda pricey, and not many games have DX10 capabilities. For less than half the price of a 8800 gts 320mb I can geta x1950 pro with high graphics on most currents games and future games...

Well, I would buy x1950 pro along with the OCZ 600 W .

Airsoul

I thought the same way as you a couple of days ago. Yet I'm sitting here right now with my 8800gts, and as content as I could ever be. :D Don't go with that card now, it will be obsolete before you know it, and you will have just spent half of what an 8800gts 320mb costs. I got mine today at Circuit City for $230 btw. :D

Ummm...no. Rosewill is a great brand, you obviously have a biased towards it. My friend has the same one and it works well with an 8800gtx and a QX6700. Plus the Rosewill is way cheaper, has free shipping, and is shinier :D.

IDK how much power that X1950XT consumes,i tried checking the website,it wouldn't show me.

But i DO know that thermaltake doesn't even have enough amps on the 12V rail to run a 8600GT.

AARONRULZ1

Fark. Ok, how 'bout this one?

Or this one?

[QUOTE="XBebop"][QUOTE="kodex1717"]

I guess I should have paid $50 for my motherboard to get that extra PCI-e slot.. So, if I can't SLi or CrossFire should I bother getting one of these cards? Keep in mind that I currently have intigrated graphics so almost anything is an improvement.

Moo11: Here they are.

kodex1717

Hell, go buy a x1950PRO or 7950GT. DX10 won't be standard for years. But if you need DX10, Mid-range isn't the way to go. Mid-range sucks this time around. get a 8800GTS 320

I'm not looking for DX10 gaming. I'm just looking for a solid DX 9 gaming experience. The problem, like I said above, is that my PSU doesn't have a 6 pin PCI-E connector. And upgrading it isn't an option. I'm just wondering if the 2600XT is the best card in my situation.

P.S. Is there really any performance difference between GDDR3 and GDDR4?

They have 4 pin molex to 6pin pci-e adapters fyi.

Go here.

1.X1950XT is good.

2. Get a FSP Blue Storm II for $87,it pwns that cheap thermaltake.

AARONRULZ1

Lol if I could afford an $87 psu I could get an 8800gts :D

*edit* But you also didn't answer one of my questions, what is the minimum psu wattage requirement to run that x1950xt?

Also, will the thermaltake 430w be able to run it? The reason why I can't go above 430 or 450w is cause my house is really old and hasn't been rewired in probably 60 years:shock:.
