Hi everyone.

Last christmas, i got my Xbox360 - oh boy was i happy! I started saving money the day after i got it for new games and the wireless wheel, got everything i wanted.

Now this christmas there wasn't much i wanted besides cash. So i got all in all - $650. Great i thought now i can afford the new Nvidia 9800GTX when it launches.

Now well, my friend(s) all got themselves PS3's and they started talking about how awsome it would be when MGS4 / FF13 launches.. It made me think about actually getting a PS3 instead of a new Graphics card ( I've got 8800GTS 320mb now, and it's awsome)

Yesterday i was playing my Xbox, i went to grab a drink and when i came back the RROD (Red Ring Of Death) was to be seen. I was like "OH N0EZ" - restarted my Xbox and it went away. Now every time i turn my Xbox on i'm afraid it'll die on me.

So well, i'm asking you - What's so good about the PS3? Does it deliver non-faulty hardware? Meaning i don't have to be afraid of it dying on me?

I'm really stuck here.. Buy a PS3 or wait for the new 9800 series of GFX card(s)

Thanks for reading through!

Sure would, though I'd go with a E6850. The higher clock smashes the Q6600 face when it come to anything gaming related. Get the quad if you do a lot of video/image editing or anything of the sort. Otherwise, I don't believe it will make that much of a difference in future games.kodex1717

This one you mean? Another question while we are at it. Some folks say that Intel isn't worth it, that AMD fully pwns it. I don't have enough experience to agree or disagree, what would you say? Would the processor you adviced be the best bet for a heavy gamer like myself? :)

Hi again.

After doing some search on new Processors and MB my friend told me if i want the "best of the best" - or atleast very close to it i should be going with the following :

Processor :

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHzSocket LGA775, 8MB

Motherboard :

ABIT IP35 PRO, P35, Socket-775, ATX,Silent Otes2, 2xGbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16

Combined with Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit.

My current setup is : Intel P4 3.4Ghz

Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 320mb

2GB Kingston HyperX 675Mhz DDR2

With the new Processor / MB - do you think this PC will be able to handle the future of gaming? e.g Crysis etc.
