@Gelugon_baat @nate1222 They are not doctors running these companies, they are run by ruthless directors and CEO's, the same people that you'd see in an Exon Mobile, Microsoft, Shell, Apple, Fox etc.
Lets say they found a cure from a substance that was widely available and cheap that they couldn't get a patent on, what do you think they would do if it meant their company and fellow companies would go broke, putting their shareholders on the street.
Seriously answer this. Do you think they would sit on it or release it to the public ?
@Jacanuk Yes i live Australia, my mother uses top doctors and scientists from Israel, Japan, Germany, UK and Sweden. But you do realise the reach of these big companies stretches way beyond just the US. With money comes influence and money is the language of the world.
@Gelugon_baat @motopram Really, how has cancer treatment changed in the last 20 odd years. It's still based on chemotherapy which yes kills the cancer cells but also kills the healthy cells destroying the immune system in the process, hence why so many peoples cancers come back with a vengeance.
My mother has been fighting cancer for 18 years now, she was told she had 3 months to live. She works with top doctors and scientists from all over the world trying new treatment methods. In that time many of her friends have died from cancer using the conventional route. I'm sorry mate this has been a part of my life for a very long time and you are just taking a stab in the dark.
I'm sorry there are to many children dying of cancer and it sickens me nothing new is being done. But back to some good news, Battlefield is being fixed, FFS........
That last comment was incredibly selfish but somewhat true. They don't try to cure illness anymore they try to treat it. There is very little money in cure but a lot of money in continuing treatment.
Some of the alternative and independent research have found some very promising treatments and possible cures only to be shut down by the big pharmaceutical companies because these treatments are cheaper and less profitable (also harder to get a patent on). You have to remember these companies are there to make profits for shareholders, they are not run by compassionate health care professionals, they are run by the same directors and CEO's who run our banks, casino's, tv stations etc. I'm sure you've all seen them campaigning against vitamins and supplements, they don't want a healthy society, that destroy's profits.
We have cancer in my family and we should be searching for a cure but the pharmaceutical companies are only searching for maximum profit.
@skeet1964 That window includes the PS4 launch worldwide, most those numbers were pre-orders. Go back one day to the 22nd and the numbers will be a lot closer.
So those features aren't instead of better games, they're in addition to them. I bought an Xbox One because of the games and controller.
People have really bought into Sony's "made for gamers by gamers" but where are the games that make the system more about gaming ? They only get to use that line because they don't have additional those additional features, does it make MS less about games or more about everything.
Look at the games and have a little think about it.
