No online lol? Dead on arrival confirmed.

Why do devs even bother pushing out these half ass ports to pc? It's like they want to piss off hermits on purpose.

This thread reminds me of why gamers still have a bad name, and probably always will.

I never even noticed them. I don't see why they'd do it for performance reasons. Could be a parity thing or the feature was suppose to only be on certain hardware like you mention. Or maybe it's just a glitch.

@freedomfreak: not fair dude, the first one came out in 2008 lol the third one plays much better

No excuse. Super Mario Bros. 3 came out in 1990 and still plays perfectly.

There's a lot more going on in LBP than SMB3. That's like saying a cell phone from 20 years ago works perfectly and comparing it to the last iphone. Sure, they both make phone calls but one is doing a lot more than the other.

I don't see how the amount of stuff going on particularly matters when there are games from even before 2008 that have more going on than LBP but still play better. LPB's floaty controls is not a result of it doing a lot. It's a deliberate choice that just doesn't work.

You made a bad comparison. Deal with it. There's a lot more to judge in a game like LBP which has a massive content creator and multi-layered levels, complex physics, 4 player co op, than a 16bit game from decades ago.

The controls worked fine for the media molecule games on ps3, which both averaged AAA.

The game is confusing. I like the changes, but I don't even think people really use the exo abilities. They are kinda weak. The gun sounds are some of the best in the series.

People didn't appreciate their games. I don't think Sony closed them at a whim.

Might be, but ever since the transition to PS2, all they ever did were Formula 1 and WipeOut games, and most of the latter were on PSP...They could've worked on something else, that's why I'm blaming Sony. Not even Rare was so badly misused by Microsoft.

You're trying too hard, and convincing no one.

Genres that were popular in the ps1 days have largely faded in the modern shooter era. Same thing happened with Twisted Metal. Some studios adapt and try new things, even fewer succeed. This studio got many chances by sony, and while the games were actually pretty good, the audience just isn't there anymore.

MS had no excuse forcing Rare to put out garbage for their camera.

It's just below 80 review average. Not as good as the media molecule ones, but that doesn't sound harsh. I hear the new mechanics are good but underutilized.
