It honestly just made me want to go back and play MCLA. Being able to drive across a retarded version of America doesn't impress me. Especially when the driving model is so bad.
The best platformer I played was Gex on the PS1... Never owned a Nintendo console.
Holy shit you gotta get on that. Gex was the worst platformer I played on N64 and PS1 apart from Bubsy 3D.
You must have not played a lot of platformers back then, because there were much worse. Gex was average to good, and ahead of its time in many aspects.
Dedicated servers though so better online. When they say dynamic scaled do they mean it runs at 1080p and reduces in spots where the frame rates would normally drop? If so, on the fly, that's impressive actually.
I think they both have servers, like ghosts. Otherwise, they'd have to write different netcode for different versions.
Wipeout ps3 was the first game I heard of with the dynamic resolution so they could maintain 60fps. That was a fast racing game though so it was hard to really notice. Dunno how that would work on a FPS. I'm not buying the game so I won't get a peak at it, but seems interesting.
I've been watching ps4 streams this week and I'm really disappointed in the map design. The game seems better than Ghosts but that's not saying much. The suits seem overhyped as well, they don't change the gameplay up that much. Also, why the fk would they put the chat in the middle of the screen? They're patching that, right?
On the other hand, some people are already starting to stream Assassins Creed Unity on ps4 and it looks better than I thought. The city looks very dense and packed with activity.
