Doesn't matter, a lot of steam fanatics will buy anything once Gabe opens his zipper and tells them to open wide. PC is just held to a lower standard, that's why 2d games or games with bad PS2 graphics get 8s thrown at them.

PC platform is so starved for quality cutting edge games, a halfass game that would have been considered a throwaway on SNES is given high ratings. Crysis was 7 years ago? Since then, even Crytek went console. Witcher series? Went console. Console where the cutting edge is these days.

Sega doesn't want to flush money down the drain. Those games only sell in Japan, and you want them to put the games on platforms that perform like shit there? The Wii version was a disaster, I can't imagine how other versions would perform.

Shenmue 3 would be a natural fit on Playstation because Yakuza is the successor and they do well on Playstation. Maybe a DS Shenmue would do well, but I don't think that's what people are asking for. Sega is not against exclusives, they just announced Yakuza ps4 and Persona 5 ps3. People in this thread also seem to be confusing Sega published games and games by their development teams.

Most won't buy it on pc until it is dirt cheap, it's optimized/fixed, and has decent mods. So, a couple years after release. I guess that's part of the problem, and why Rockstar treats the platform like a step child. Even though the 360 version is fucked up, console GTA5 is very impressive and holds up well against next gen unlike other games.

PC gaming just isn't taken seriously. Half of pc gamers have systems weaker than 360 so if devs invest a ton of money into technology and story they won't get the return they need. That's why the talented devs jump to console when they get big enough. PC gamers have to brag about 2 generation old games, football manager, and half ass indies.

PC gaming is the most expensive to get into and the most expensive to stay in, in terms of time and cost. Over time PC developers stop optimizing for older hardware, and it performs worse in games. Console optimization only gets better through the years.

I can play every console game without paying a penny. PS plus pays for itself ten fold and XBL free games is working its way towards the standard plus set.
