It looks cool. So does this mean you can hold 2 pistols now?

Nice. Can't wait for more info.
Open two stores, one that sells only retro and one that sells only newer stuff. Guess which one goes out of business first?
Retro games will always have the nostalgia audience, people who grew up with snes or whatever. The newer consumers will just download old stuff on the new systems. They have no attachment to cartridges or the genesis controllers. These stores aren't demanding shipments of thousands of PS1s a month.
This is the response to From getting in bed with Sony? Cool I guess. Lords wasn't a terrible game, not great either. Maybe they could do something with a bigger budget and outsourcing.
I can't stand the typical UE3 character models though. I think the game would look better in Cryengine.
What a clusterfuck
No, the whole Bloodborne thing is over. The only reason it is still even talked about is to bring relevance to it when it no longer is...
?
It's not a relevant game anymore, it sold what it did on hype before normal people were really aware of what it was, that is why the numbers were so high, plus the lack of quality exclusives.
The sales downturn is going to be massive, no one gives a shit about it, they don't like it, it's not a fun or exciting game for the mainstream, it's hollow and boring.
It's done.
You are mad Salty bruh, Lmfao.
I don't know how relevant the game is anymore, but it is by far the most dumbed down and lackluster souls/souls-esque game. I barely wanted to finish my first playthrough let alone replay the entire thing again in NG+ and the PvP is just... absolutely terrible.
Apparently a lot of people think it's worse than Dark Souls 2 was and have gone off to buy SotFS.
It definitely will not survive as long as Dark Souls 1 and 2 did, it just doesn't have depth or variety.
Sorry, but it is superior to the previous games in just about every way, especially DS2. Level design, enemy design and AI, combat, atmosphere. On and on. Soul memory is more complex than simple Soul Level system; that didn't make it better, it made it worse.
I can understand some people preferring the DS2 remake for the "Arena Souls" experience. That doesn't make the game as a whole better than DS1 or Bloodborne. DS2 is the COD of the Souls games, with dumbed down level design and progression and emphasis on MP. Unfortunately, the rest of the game suffered because of that design concept.
Miyazaki was very clear that Bloodborne is first and foremost a single player experience. Same philosophy he had on Demon and Dark 1. The difference is clear.
Bloodborne has more variety and depth with Chalice Dungeons(which features generated maps that are of the same quality of the "designed" maps in DS2) and the system seems tailor-made for longevity and DLC. New discoveries are being made just about every day. People are barely finding out about PvP dungeons.
Oh, I see. So apparently because a game is focused on one feature, it is completely justified in botching/ignoring the other features that many fans found important from the previous games. This must be how Bloodborne is "superior." Simply brilliant, sir.
You're definition of "variety and depth" is not same as mine as I was referring to builds, items and meta, not maps.
I can appreciate that many people and the devs consider BB to be more PvE oriented, but that doesn't excuse it for being barebones, especially when the PVE isn't actually better than it was in Dark Souls. The AI is fucking terrible and it is by far the least challenging souls game to come out (coming from somebody who didn't even know about the gun riposte until I was on Gehrman.) It's stupid easy, dumbed down and marketed towards casuls and you're not going to convince me otherwise as I've actually played the game.
I think you're speaking more as an advocate for Sony than a souls fan.
Most games don't have unlimited funds and time, something's got to give and priorities are made. Different titles also have different goals. COD is a MP oriented FPS, Half Life 2 is not and it shows. I listed just a few of the many reasons Bloodborne is superior. I'll take insight over Soul Memory or Humanity any day. I'll take the moon cycle over whatever that was in DS2.
You're right, our definitions are different. I place a higher priority on substance like good design and game mechanics than on "fashion souls" and useless stats. I'll take substance over useless novelty weapons and pretty clothing. Again, just goes to show DS2 priorities compared to Bloodborne. You can ignore Chalice Dungeons, doesn't mean they don't exist and don't add long lasting appeal.
You are entitled to your opinion, even if is a bad one. The PVE is so much better, it's hard to even go back to DS2. Feels like you have to remove part of your brain just to go back and deal with those garbage hitboxes. The only reason I've seen some people talk about going back was for the arena souls experience, not because the actual game as a whole was so amazing. The AI and combat is much better than any Souls game, gone are the days of poke, turtle, poke, turtle in the same patterns over and over. Enemies have more attack variety and even hidden attacks that are revealed later.
Sounds like you played the easy mode without knowing it, a lot of people who claimed to be godlike in this game did this. I think they patched that mode out. Dumbed down, marketed towards casuals... funny, that's exactly what the consensus about DS2 is, not Bloodborne.
Now, looking at the join date, I think I realize what's going on. Sorry I entertained the troll.

I almost thought it was Dead Rising 3.
Looks like it could be a fun budget game to play on weekends with friends or something.
