While the SMB Galaxy games were probably the best games, I had more fun playing:

Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess

Red Steal 2

House of the Dead Overkill

Silent Hill Shattered Memories

Graphics: whether you like or dislike the graphics is subjective. One style might appeal to some but not to others. The limited power of the Wii obviously led to some of the choices that Nintendo made in its art style, but I think it had an overall pleasing appearance. As for poor textures, I have seen worse in games like Skyrim on the 360, so I didn't find them that offensive.

Frame Rate: It has been a while since I played it, but I can't remember any major concerns.

Controls: There is a difference between the controls sucking and you sucking at using the controls. I find the controls very responsive and rarely had to re-calibrate them. (if I ever did). A couple of pointers for you: 1. it is not a pointer based game. 2. It tracks all your motions, including any wind ups you make before swinging or stabbing. Many people don't consider these when playing and become confused. For example, if you pull your bow out when pointing at the ground, your bow will be pointing at the ground. It won't matter if you point the IR sensor at the screen, because most of the time the controls are based on relative position to where you were--not where the TV is. Many people also don't seem to understand that moving the wiimonte backwards before swinging forwards is also a motion and will be tracked by the game. This leads to confusion for people as the original wind up before the swing is played out without the player even realizing that was the motion they made. If you make all your motions purposeful, the controls can be very responsive and the experience very enjoyable.

Dungeons: We would have to agree to disagree here. I found the dungeons to be among the best in the series both in terms of atmosphere and layout.

2-D on the 3DS and 3-D on the Wii U.

That way everybody is happy and we get to play two different Metroid games!

This.

I think both systems need a Metroid game and 2D would be best for the 3DS.

A large, open world Metriod for the Wii U would be great, and could really help the Wii U's library especially if it had some online multiplayer components.

I am one of those people who sees no need to purchase another Donkey Kong Country game. I just don't think we needed another one. Yes, I am sure that Tropical Freeze has evolutionary content, but I don't feel compelled to buy it.

I also did not purchase New Super Mario Bros Wii U for similar reasons. I wish Nintendo would find other franchises to evolve or create new ones that explore new territories.

I think success has to be rated by more than just the number of units sold. They can sell billions of the things, but that doesn't necessarily make it a successful system when people get rid of them within days, weeks, or months of purchase (because there is no software for it) or they sit on the shelf collecting dust or waiting for that occasional party game to get dusted off.

I bought my kids one a week ago and figured I'd find something to play on the thing, but there is nothing I have any interest in. I'm not getting games like Call of Duty for the Wii U when I can get them for my Xbox. I don't care about Nintendo's cutesy games (that even my kids don't want to play because at 7 and 9 years old, even they think they are lame) like Mario, Kirby, and the like (Mariokart being the exception, I've always enjoyed that one). I also thought that they were going to have their entire Nintendo catalog available for download (their old NES and SNES titles), but there are only a small handful available. There isn't jack on their marketplace to download that I can't get for at least 50% cheaper from Gamestop or Amazon. There are hardly any indie titles available (not even something like Minecraft or similar cult status games that are out now), etc. I'm actually more OK with the system itself than I thought I would be, but there is jack squat to play on the dumb thing when compared to what you can get on other systems.

So they can keep selling them, but just because they still sell a few, I don't think it's been successful in the least.

Too bad you purchased a Nintendo system when you don't care for their franchises. It also does not make sense that you want Nintendo's back catalog when you don't like their IPs. What do you want on VC? There are currently 69 VC titles available--few of which are available for non Nintendo systems.

If you are mainly a FPS fan, you should stay with your 360,Complaining about Nintendo franchises after you purchase a Nintendo system is a bit like complaining that Italian restaurants don't serve the Mexican food you're looking for.

As for no software for it, there are 78 retail games out currently and an additional 128 titles available for download on the eshop. You may not like the games, but saying there are is no software is just blatantly false.

It will not affect sales what so ever for the game, most people don't even care. Those who plan to buy this game are not going to change their mind over it.

I look at it like this. If you were in the desert and dehydrated and I had a camelback of water that had had sand in it you would love that water. There is not many options on the wii u so if that's all you have 720p or even 600p games are great. Pro-logic sound only who cares. No online hey who cares. I got a game is pretty much the sheep mindset.

It's like felons in jail and they get the chance to be with a woman almost any woman will do cause they thirsty. The more options you have the more picky you can be.

As if it is raining games for Xbone and PS4

1. Work with western developers to port popular game engines to Wii U, so as to minimize development costs for 3rd parties.

2. Court independent devs to eshop

3. Continue to make great 1st party games.

4. Market to China. 100s of millions of kids waiting to fall in love with Mario, Zelda, Samus, et al.
