This is always helpful for building and being able to see certain blocks from a distance! You have the option to have a more realistic pack for survival, which includes a realistic pumpkin and some other mild changes. It was often quite jarring to see a lantern pumpkin out in the wilderness!

Emerald X-Ray Texture Pack (1.8/1.7.10/1.7.2) - The Emerald X-Ray Texture Pack has been recently released and I’m pretty sure that its the best X-Ray Texture Pack out there. Unlike the mod, the X-Ray Texture Pack is basically how the name explains it, , it’s an emerald (and all ores) X-Ray Texture Pack, which you is quite different from all the other X-Ray Textures because of its art style for locating ores and mineshafts, etc. I really like this style because it illuminates the ores from a very fair distance away which is a big plus if you ask me!

Old Timey Texture Pack for Minecraft (1.8/1.7.10/1.7.2) - This texture pack was designed with the idea that they wanted a more detailed and darker pack. This pack certainly is on the darker side of the spectrum, but has immense details and really well made items. The grass, trees and model textures look really nice and have nice dark lines to make many things stand out more than they might have normally. Another thing, an important detail, that the Old Timey Texture Pack includes is the mob and character models now have awesome old school mustaches and nice suits! Its really one of the stranger packs out there, but also has a nice charm to it. I would see this working very well for the Yogscast guys.

Coterie Craft Texture Pack (1.8/1.7.10/1.7.2) - Oh…. there are sooo many texture packs out there. After 1.8 and 1.7.10 update many things have been updated also. So minecraftdl must be updating them to :)! Well, this texture pack is found when I was searching for some popular packs on planetminecraft. The name look s a bit funny so I tried to chech it out :P! Coteriecraft, you may wonder what kind of name is that? If you would let me explain, this pack is kinda like Minecraft upgraded version. Or minecraft in the future.(not like robots blabla) Because, CoterieCraft looks like Minecraft with HD features. All the stones and glasses look more HD than the original one. I will have to use the word “enhanced” it. It is like enchanting Minecraft into an more advanced textures. If some of you say I prefer The original pack or default pack, you might want to try using this pack, see thing you might not want to miss.

Wasted Real Gun Texture Pack (1.8/1.7.10/1.7.2) - This texture pack is meant for a gamemode called Wasted. Wasted is a team based “loot and kill” gamemode. It is directly based off of the Arma gamemode also called Wasted. Minecraft is theme’d losely on a medevil era. It was only a matter of time that someone added guns. Just remember that the guns don’t shoot unless you’re on a Wasted server. The textures are direct imports but they sure add to the realism of the gamemode. I was especially enjoying that there is a Mosin rifle. If only they had an Orbez though.
