2Shades Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.2) - HD texture packs seem to be popular lately. This pack is based on two shades for each block. It has a base color, then two variations on the color. The grass looks like it can cut you, though. Other than the long grass texture, it’s a pretty round pack. The stone texture really looks like stone, rather than random splotches of gray like the default texture for it. I must admit that I do like the point of this pack. It seems like a nice challenge to the maker, and like it would make a pretty quick-running pack for the rest of us. It’s a 64×64 texture pack, though, so I’m not too sure if it’ll lag or not. I do have a couple of complaints about the pack, but they’re small complaints that mostly involve the flower textures. They look identical to the long grass, but they have splotches of whatever color the flower is. Other than that, it’s a really solid pack that I’d recommend to anyone who wants something a little cartony and HD.

Pictroll Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.2) - Who says 16×16 can’t look good? Lately me and a good number of other Minecrafters have been spoiled by higher resolution texture packs but this pack has revived my love for the simplicity and ease of installation that comes with lower resolution packs. The pack combines a kind of cartoony and stark theme creating a pleasant world for you to play in. Lacking the many colored pixels of default, this pack has smoother textures that give the game more clarity without taking away from the regular mood Minecraft sets. You’ll be pleased with the results from the installation and use of this pack. It is selected from your resource packs lists like normal.

The texture pack has not only been developed at a singular resolution, but a great many for the benefits of the player. CloudCraft Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.2) is a 16×16 texture pack created by the Italian developer ‘lucky_fox’. This texture pack is based on using simple, blocky patterns. This creates a embossed, 3D cartoony style. Many of the textures use similar gradient colors in order to achieve this. Angus’s Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.2) - Texture Pack’s can often be created to just replace the textures of the Default Texture Pack with completely new, and unique ones. This isn’t a bad thing, but there are plenty of people in the world who enjoy the simplicity and vanilla feel of using the Default pack. However, the Angus’s Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.7 introduces a unique kind texturing into players games. Instead of completely remaking, recreating the textures and replacing them with something entirely different; the developer of the pack has simply tried to make the default looks better. I think, that as a result, the textures still keep to their original style, however they look and give off a different feel in time.
