The ones you posted would be able to maybe run COD at min setting but not battlefield. Grey's recommendation could probably run them at mid/high settings while building it yourself with that budget you could start thinking about max setting and turning on AA.
Isn't it there about equal on average however there's more extreme in males so hence more genius, and idiots. Plus historically men were far better educated than woman hence so few woman geniuses.
You current build isn't bad. Keep it for now that proccessor fine currently justy get a good 600W PSU and a 560/6950 and you'll be ablle to max anything currently. Then upgrade the CPU+mobo in 2 years when it really does limit you.
Your get much more for your money building it yourself. Heres a great guide for what you can get for your money. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/buyers-guide/2011/03/10/pc-hardware-buyer-s-guide-march-2011/1 I'd recommend you'd ask in that site forum if your serious about getting a gaming PC. Rather more mature and helpful group than this forum.
Most games are only single threaded and at max 4 threaded so a 6 cores is pointless. The 2500k is much faster per cores than the amd 955. Neither will limit you fps during a gaming as much as your graphic card will. For pure gaming fps get the amd 955 and spend the money saved on more GPU. However a 2500k should last at least two years longer than the 955 before becoming obsolete.
