Yes and it's sad because i know there are a lot of Nvidia GPUs out there just sitting idle. People need to get the word out and that could add a boatload of Flops!! Who knows how much power this project can have :oX360PS3AMD05

Dual core folding with 9800gx2

Just might turn into quad core gpu folding next month since recertified cards are cheap.

Still need to sort out the console for dual core cpu folding.

Decided to join last night. Have the GPU2 running for my 9800gx2 and the console for CPU. The graphical CPU client wouldn't install for me due to some type of corruption error. Redownloading the install file didn't help.

I followed the instruction for configuring the console client to have it set to machine ID 1(to use core 0), and the affinity option set to "no" to lock it to a single core, so I can run a second console client. However when I view my processor usage it seems to spreading the load across both cores. Until I can look into the problem a little more, help would be appreciated.

Make sure the cable going from the montior to video card isn't loose. If that's not the case then yes, either your monitor or video card is bad. You may want to check for burned components, burned or leaking capacitors on the videocard. If you have another monitor i'd suggest trying the computer on it.

Ram is not used for storing data so no, you wont lose anything. Judging from that type of question I'm not sure if you're looking at the right ram to buy. I can't really assume you don't but please make sure you know what type of ram is in your system before you make the purchase.

I doubt the game was threaded for a quad core cpu. Systemrequirementslab sucks anyway.

Run memtest86.

On a side note you'll need to list more details on your computer.

Only problem I see is that on the back side of the case (where the ps/2 ports, usb, lan port, serial port, etc... are). The metal part that comes with the Rosewill case may not match up, and I'm not sure if you can take if off of the gateway case. No big deal really, if the part on the rosewill case doesn't match you can take it off. It'll look a bit funky but its not like you're going to be looking at the back of your case that often.

Here's a pic of the part I'm talking about

Shouldn't be. Shorter warranty time, no extra parts or cords to come with it. Probably no driver cd either but you dont really need it anyway.
