Both of those games were huge hits, so why did they never make it to the virtual console? Now that the Wii-U is out, I'd like to download those games on my Wii and give it to my mom because she always enjoyed playing them when I was a kid. Will Nintendo ever release them for the VC in the future?

How do you run fast? I've tried everything and my character just walks; it takes forever to get anywhere.

Hey guys, I fixed the problem. I called Nintendo tech support and they told me to start the game, go to the operations manual, hook up the nunchuck, and press Z + A + 2. Apparently that combination tells your Wii to use a different setting which is more compatible with newer TV's. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone else experiencing a similar problem.

I completely deleted the channel and re-downloaded the game. I still have the problem, so I have no idea what's causing it. What's weird is that it didn't start happening until I was nearly 30 hours into the game.

If I re-download will I lose my saved game? I'm positive one of my TV cables isn't lose, because it only happens when playing Chrono Trigger. Every other game and tv channel is fine.

This problem just happened to me recently. I didn't do anything different from the last time I played and have tried resetting / restarting, and it still persists. When playing the game, on the right side of my screen a horizontal static line will scroll from top to bottom about every 20 seconds. It's just a line about a centimeter thick that quickly goes from top to bottom, like a glitch in the game or something. This problem just started occurring, after I was about 28 hours into the game. I know the problem is with the game because this line doesn't appear in any other games, or when I'm watching TV. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Any ideas to fix it? Thanks

i haven't played 1, maybe the tradition only started on a later episode. *googles* Cid started appearing in FF II. same for chocobos. moogles started in FF III @enrique - crystal chronicles is one of my favorite RPGs on the Gamecube, but yeah the multiplayer was damaged because of the absurd requirements. i still played through it alone (since most of the time i couldn't have friends to play... when i did it was even awesomer), and it's a very underappreciated game. don't expect anything similar from crystal bearers. the only similarity is the world they take place.

Yeah, I remember Cid and the Chocobos from FF2. I have beaten FF1 multiple times and don't remember them, which is why I was asking.

chrono trigger makes use of the ATB, or Active-Time Battle. that battle system, which i can't remember who debuted, final fantasy or CT, is the mother of action RPGs. so that's a pretty big thing. chrono trigger's only relation to the final fantasy series is the team/creative minds behind it, which is basically the same relation say, mario and zelda share. and final fantasy itself, despite being on its forteenth chapter, has one iteration completely different from the other, set in a different world, with different people and stuff. even the combat changes from game to game. HOWEVER, there are a few constants on the final fantasy series that every single game has, spinoff or not: -moogles -chocobos -spell names (fire, fira, firaga, etc) -a relatively important character named Cid.BrunoBRS

where were the moogles, chocobos and cid in ff1? i cant remember for the life of me.
