That's just it: the problem is TOO big. It's like saying "How do we desalinate all the oceans?" or "We need to scrub every rock clean of chemicals in the world." It's such a vast concept. It starts with the individual, yes. Recycle, reduce, reuse. Lower your carbon footprint. Buy local and organic. Install solar and wind machines on your property. Convert to E100 or Biofuel. Carpool, use the bus, bike, walk. Don't use plastic bags, don't speed when driving, buy a hybrid ...

On and on and on.

However it still takes more than that. It requires strict laws in place and enforced. It requires a "Green credit" business market. It requires some real activisim and massive cooperation. It requires some real diplomacy and wheel & palm greasing to get foreign (esp poor) countries to come on board. America needs to be the trailblazers on this matter, unfortunately, most of us are too lazy to work so hard for (seemingly) nothing. Lazy is what Americans are best @.

Long nails on dudes looks absolutely disgusting. It's ok to have it on one hand if you're a guitar player.

Other than that it's just lazy and unappealing to look at. I work at a jail, and a lot of the inmates have nasty yellow infected nails. For some reason I'll notice a lot of em leave like just one nail extra long - a pinkie or w/e. Not sure what significance this has (is it a drug thing? IDK). Unless you kill prey with long nails, you shouldn't have em.

Gosh, this post is full of win. I really agree, and you make a good point. There are so many criminals who harm humans, and they're on the streets, but if you harm an animal, you go to jail for a long time. It's ridiculous.

The difference is in innocence. Puppies, human babies, dolphins, ect.

Human adults know better; when we do things like purposely and pointlessly kill innocent things we are being cruel, even evil. There is purity in an animal because it doesn't think on a higher level like we do. A dog or whale or even a cougar, they only hurt other things out of defense or survival.

Some of us "valuable" humans are mentally disturbed and take joy in causing pain and suffering in others. People like this deserve that pain and suffering back on them threefold. Poetic justice means that the punishment fits the crime, with irony.

Haven't seen the video; really don't care to. My GF described it. Just, intolerable. The wonton, sadistic act upon innocent life is indicative of a truly disturbed personality. I think they ought to chuck her @ss in a river with her hands tied.
