yep

Is it worse that she is poor or blind? Or is she merely unfortunate in that, if she had vision, she would have seen the hazard?

What do you prefer to wear? I've been a briefs man my entire life until the other day, I was feeling uncomfortable until I happened upon my one pair of boxers. The best decision I have ever made. But let's consider the pros/cons:

Boxers - Comfortable, light and cool. However, not ideal for excessive sporting activities, e.g. a marathon.

Briefs - Provides support when physical activities are participated in. Cramped, and can affect tadpole levels.

Free balling -Maximum comfort. Could get too breezy and cold. If someone "dackses" you, your junk can spill out and trip over some poor blind lady.

There is a middle ground. A fertile valley between the peaks, an oasis between two deserts. It is known as the boxer-brief. I prefer longer legs so they don't ride. Supportive, yet loose enough, and you still look sexy in em to women (as opposed to tighty-whiteys - who looks sexy in those???).

Yep, a lot of which you can stream for free at this website (that link goes to the performance at the Renaissance Faire Grounds I mentioned above). There's also a way to download all the shows from that site, but since it's no longer allowed we can't talk about that here. A lot of it has pretty poor sound quality because they were recorded by a guy in the audience, but the Dead actually allowed people to hook up recording equipment right into their soundboard (which most bands wouldn't let people do) so there are tons of concerts on that site (like the one I linked) that sound about the same as commercially released live performances, like the Dick's Picks series. Basically any performance that says "Soundboard" under "Source" has pretty good sound quality.

Good to know - thanks for the tip. Man, I wish I could have seen a Dead show before Jerry died. Have you been to any "The Other Ones" or "The Dead" shows? Did you ever see em with Jerry?

I think it's really interesting, especially because I've heard about drug and human smuggling for so many years but I've never actually seen how it works.

yabbicoke

Never seen it, sounds interesting. I'll try to catch an episode.

On a different note, what's your favorite Dead song? Mine is either Unbroken Chain, Mexicali Blues or ... And it stoned me. All different flavors.

Probably either That's It For the Other One from Fillmore West 1969, the Scarlet Begonias -> Fire on the Mountain from Live At Barton Hall, Cornell University (which is a bootleg, so it doesn't have an actual name), the Viola Lee Blues from Dick's Picks Vol. 8, the Dark Star from Dick's Picks Vol. 4, or the Playin' in the Band from Live At Old Renaissance Faire Grounds (which is another bootleg).

I'll have to take a good listen to all of those songs. I've heard that so much bootlegged Dead music is equal or superior to studio stuff, they were the quintessential road band and let their fans openly record music live right? The Dead are so underrated it's not even funny.

Oh and to stay on topic: I should watch Border Wars to get some material for my PoliSci class, at least for open discussions.

That trippy crop circle looked just like a bunch of Pokemon balls overlapping.

I am kind of astounded at the number of people voting internet over others.

I could be homeless and happy with music rolling in my head.

The moment music is taken from me (meaning all music, entirely, in every form), I would shut down to the lowest point that I could ever reach. And I mean braindead.

I can't think of much else that would make me sadder than losing music. I can't imagine not having a song in my head.

For one month, though, anything is tolerable.

Dave_Bonds

Exactly, for one month internet would hurt the most, as it's the most accessable, most immediately gratifying. If it was forver? Music or books. I honestly don't know which I would crave more. I listen to music all the time, but I read all the time too. Take London and Hemmingway from me? No way. Take Otis Redding or Tool? I'll cut you. Take my phone? Eh, that's annoying. Take internet? I still have music and books :)

Da interwebs.

I do so much with it - homework, music, news, communications, entertainment, right now I am talking to you all, looking for a new residence, shopping and deciding where to go hiking this weekend. Also, every so often the internet helps me in one other way .... best not to go into specifics.

Last dream I remember I was moving through the forest and it was raining with lightning and thunder. I moved up onto a ridge and built some ET-phone-home machine and got lighting to zap it for power. Then it was a blur, and then I was walking with a Japanese girl to school (I am not Japanese, nor do I live in Japan). I remember she was alarmed at the water running down her legs, so she decided to turn the water on her legs into some kind of clear film or "water stocking". Another young lady saw it and mimicked it. Before you know it, turning water running down bare legs into water-stockings became the craze.

It seems like two different dreams but that blur I mentioned connected the two. Dreams are weird like that.
