Grey Tuesday

Well, a so so day Tuesday was.  Jim Doyle is still the governor of Wisconsin so that's about the worse news for me.  The Democrats now how the House, so I guess we can start blaming the Democrats for still being in Iraq now since we haven't pulled out yet. :lol:

Some surprising things were that gay marriage was banned and the death penalty is reinstated in Wisconsin.  I didn't even know we were voting for them till I got to the polling area.  I'm not really opinionated on either one so it was basically a who cares vote.

So, there is the black and the grey...now for the white.  Gears of War got great reviews and has made me a happy person.  I was on the fence of getting GoW and reviews were going to be my deciding factor.  I was probably going to get it anyways so I can play co-op with one of my friend on XBL, but I was still leary about it.

Some people say that there is only black and white...well today was neither so I guess that would make it grey.  Ha, another saying disproved by video games or politics.  It's amazing how much they have in common.  Video games tell stories that are made up and probably will never happen, and politicians make campaign promises that are made up and will probably never happen.  Amazing isn't it. :lol:

Good Deal

So I wasn't planning on getting anything till next week when Gears of War comes out.  But things change.  I checked out the ad for Best Buy this week on Monday after not seeing it Sunday, and I'm happy I did.  Best Buy had a great deal on some very good movies (Well some).  It was buy 1 get 1 free.  So I looked through the selection and my eyes lit up.  Not only was Leon (aka the Professional) one of the titles, but Once Upon a Time in America was also listed.  So on Wed. I drove down to a Best Buy and was able to find Leon, but had trouble finding once Once Upon a Time in America.  I asked one of the employees and he was like we don't have it, but we could order it.  Then he says that if they did have it, it would be right here....weird we do have it.  So, I grabbed the last copy and went home.  Two great movies, 6 hours combined, and for only $20...can't go wrong there. :)

Oh and a little side note, my video should be released either tonight or tomorrow.  I'm not really expecting much, but I'll at least have fun making it.

My XBOX 360 Game Collection Video

[video=Kyc0kzf55bgOsjTb]

Well here is my XBOX 360 collection video.  It didn't turn out the way i really wanted, but I did the best I could.  I was trying to find a song that would be just long enough so I could keep the sound of the Need for Speed Most Wanted scene.  I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the "Five Grand" quote in there.  Also, if you take the time to watch the entire vid, you'll get an hint on the title of my series (I made it pretty obvious).

*Note* I again thank Gamespot for having all those videos of games on their site.

Upcoming Things

A couple of things are in the works right now.  A new simple video is in the works.  It is just a mix of game videos of the 360 games that I own.  In other words a collection video.  I've seen people do them and thought I would make one just to get some more experience in making vids.

The next vid that I'm making is more along the lines of a blog...although it will be only an audio one since I don't have a web cam.  But that won't stop me, as I have plans on making it work.  And hopefully it turns out well cause I will possibly make it a weekly series.

Also, I plan on updating any of my graphics on my blog and in the forums.  So that means a new blog image, new banner, new avatar, and a new sig.  Lots of stuff to do, but fun shall be had.

My first vid

[video=d3U0kmD-5bgNvjHY]

This is my first final version vid that I have ever made.  It is nothing special, but it was an interesting experience making it.  I thought it would be much harder than it actually was.  I hope everyone enjoys it, and like I said it's nothing special so don't expect a masterpiece. :lol:

Oh and the original version of the vid is in my video area.

Combining Profiles

Seems, that when TV.com first started i made a seperate profile from my Gamespot one.  I've been using it for awhile and haven't really gotten to far with it, so i decided to combine the material from my kevij86 profile into my MyNiceIceLife profile which I use more on Gamespot anyways.  So, there will be alot of new stuff on this profile now that wasn't here before.

The Sun Shines Brightly

After waiting for what seems like forever, Okami finally has been released.  From the first time I saw screen shots of the game, I've wanted to play this game.  Then to hear how good it actually is I just had to get it.  So on Wednesday, after putting the game on hold at Gamespot on Tuesday, I finally got to play Okami.  It was interesting and the graphics are as good as everyone says.  But after playing it today and restoring some of the landscape and doing some battles I realized just how great this game is.  It's fun to play and it's also relaxing.  It never becomes to frustrating and the feel of the game is just so soothing.  This is truly a great game that everyone should play.

Mmmmmmmm New Router

After the ever occuring and frustrating disconnectin/reconnecting internet, my dad finally went out and got a new router.  First one i had him get that i looked up last night when i was dead tired wasn't what we needed.  The new one we have is a lot better.  it's a 802.11n Netgear router and oh boy is it fast.  I never knew that our internet was this fast.  That and no more dropped internet and things are a lot less annoying :)

Finally on Live

it took some time, but after getting the cable and wiring it throughout the house; my dad's 360 is finally on Live.  Only have Silver, besides the 1 month Gold trial, but it's nice to be able to d/l demos and other games. :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's been a total of 2 decades for me on this planet we call earth.  Yep, today (8-1-2006) I turned 20.  My teenage years are over, and I already miss them.  Time to grow up...well maybe not yet since i'm still in college, but the time is getting closer and closer.  Got some good gifts to...mainly Trauma Center for the DS and GTA Liberty City Stories for the PS2.  I also know have the money to get the rest of the Futurama DVD's now that they are on sale for $20 each at Best Buy, so i'll be heading over there tomorrow.  A sad, but good day.  And only one more year till i'm 21...then it's Viva Las Vegas :)
