Thank You Sony
by myniceicelife on Comments
I'd just like to thank Sony for selling me on the Nintendo DS. I was one of the faithful that was waiting for my local Best Buy to open so I could get my PSP. I was number 1 there and the first one to get a PSP at the store. Well, it's over a year later and my PSP is basically a glorified paper weight. I enjoy playing Lumines, but playing it for more than 20 minutes gives me hand cramps. I tried to update my PSP to the latest firmwares only to find out that there is something wrong with the OS of my PSP and it won't update at all. Other than that I just don't use my PSP ever.
Thankfully, I got a product replacement plan when I got my PSP so all I have to do is call the number and ship them my PSP and I'll get a gift card for about $250. And since the new DS Lite is out now, it is the perfect time to ship it back so I can get one and a couple of games while I'm at it. Only problem is that I'll have to save about $30 on the card so I can get Harvest Moon DS when it comes out. So thank you Sony for convincing me to get a DS
Ah, What a day

After my dad constantly said that we would never get a next gen gaming system since i had so many game and consoles already, i sold him on a 360. Now it isn't in my room (for now), but it'll be set up in the living room for the family to play. Got three games (GRAW, Burnout Revenge, Blazing Angels) so the main thing is co-op for my dad, which is cool for me since i enjoy playing with him (ahhhh how sweet  ).
Anyways, we were at the Best Buy and we were just looking around and i noticed that they had some 360 premium packages (actually they had about 200 but not all on shelves), so i stopped my dad just to "look" at it. After that i then went on a major sales pitch trying to convince him. Took about 20 minutes and a question to see if they had anymore wireless controllers and my dad was sold. After that he talked with the media supervisor about it, which is were things turned good for me. Ended up with my dad getting the 360 and me getting a referral for a job at Best Buy from one of their supervisors. So good day overall :D
Oh and i didn't even want to wake up early today
Ah no more homework

Waiting For E3 (Props to Gamespot)
by myniceicelife on Comments
E3 is quickly approaching and I can't wait. It sucks that I can't go, but it's a wonderful thing we have Gamespot. With Gamespot, I get to feel like I'm at E3 without all of the chaos (although it does seem like crazy fun). I'll be using my Anything Games blog to post updates that are important to weed out what I think is truly important (I may just end up with one hell of a long posts).
Thanks Gamespot for keeping all of us up to date on all the pre-E3 news and good luck with all your coverage.
New/Updated Blogs
by myniceicelife on Comments
Well after a long time of having a blog and using it for other purposes than what I originally had in mind, I have created some new ones and redone the old one.
I now have one that I will either rant about stuff in the news or post random stuff that has picked my interest. You can see that one here.
Also I have a blog that I guess I could do here on Gamespot but I decided to do it on Blogger just because it gives me some more freedom. You can check that one out here.
My original blog has been redone and its content has been cleaned up; however, I won't post it here on GS (even though it isn't bad) but you can find it through my other blogs if you really want to see it.
Eddie Guerrero (1967-2005)
by myniceicelife on Comments
On Sunday i was just surfing the net and i went to check out WWE.com to see if there was anything new going on. What i found left me numb. The first thing i saw was a picture of Eddie Guerrero with 1967-2005 and the heading "Tragic News". I then read the text and found out the Latino Heat died in his hotel, Sunday morning.
I was out of it the rest of the day and didn't know what to think. All i knew is that i wasn't going to miss a second of Raw. When Raw started and all the superstars and fans (including me) stood for the ringing of the bell and a video tribute, i found myself in tears. i ain't one to get emotional, but to watch a guy perform week in and week out, know what he's gone through in his life, and then to find out that he just died; it really got to me.
I never got to meet Eddie Guerrero, but i know he's in a better place. God rest ur incredible soul, Eddie. Viva La Raza!
