@Elaisse: You can see the games now since there are tons of videos available of them in action.

And as far as the framerate, there is a processing unit that attaches which helps it interpolate to reach 90-120fps.

I know you want badly for this to fail, but try this once to be positive about something.

@wookiegr: At $600, the only resolution Oculus will be making is to avoid their department from going under...

@mlauber: I had one friend who had a Colecovision and one who had a Commodore; I thought they were fine but I just never had the urge to get either.

@Baconstrip78: This issue far transcends just hardcore gamers, unfortunately.

@skemaal: A "fanboy" of what? Playstation? Nope, I'm a "fanboy" of gaming which is why I own an XBOX One, PS4, several PC's (typing on one now), Vita, Dreamcast, 360, Original XBOX, DP Tablet, NES, SNES, Genesis, SMS, SMS 2, Sega CD, 32X, Game Gear, TG-16, 2600, 7800, Intellivision, and PS1.

A "fanboy" of technological advancement? Yep, I am. Damn straight. Clearly you aren't, and that's your choice. Have fun churning your own butter in the back of your covered wagon...

@skemaal: Nah, I'm pretty sure based on the extreme negativity and expectation of failure from people who've never used PSVR or VR in general is pretty clear indication of them wanting it to fail, but I digress...

All in all, the success of VR can only be a good thing. I question the intelligence of any person who can't see this as a precursor to full sensory telepresence which is obviously the final destination goal as the tech advances over generations; a tech that has far too many positive uses that will literally change life as we know it.

@Elaisse: And yet, PSVR literally has a ton of AAA games slated with video of the games in action that a search of 2 seconds would find.

Interesting how what you said literally doesn't match up with facts, but don't let that stop you...

@skemaal: Calling VR, a viable tech platform, a "gimmick" is beyond nonsensical. You would've been the person in the 90's decrying that fully polygonal games were a gimmick because the wireframe games of the past died off showing that people didn't want 3D worlds in gaming.

You read this comment section and all you see are a bunch of people wishing for a great tech platform to fail, and for what benefit to them?

Where along the line did society just become a collection of self-absorbed know-it-alls who hate everything--even things they've never tried--and are just constantly negative all the time?

It's truly sad.
