@chriss_m: I get that you feel threatened by a few three-syllable words, Chris, but unless you can find anything to the effect of, “I don't like when players disagree with reviewers” in my comment, that means you read it wrong, i.e. I'm right. By all means keep squirming if you think it'll help.
@chriss_m: “Like we get it, you really, really don’t like when people disagree with reviewers. Got it.” See, Chris, you haven't got it, because that's not what I said. Not only is that not what I said, but the absolute crux of my point has fluttered past your oblivious head. If anything you're justifying the comment. Feel free to have another go if you think you can manage it later.
People still somehow think it's a cool and clever thing when their favourite toy suddenly doesn't look so hot, to say,
“The reviewer just sucks.” “The reviewer doesn't know what he's talking about.” “The reviewer doesn't understand the genre.” “The reviewer is just a noob blah blah blah.”
The same children come out and say the same stupid things every time. I just want to point out that as I'm writing this comment I have the Steam page for the game open on another tab, and the user score is exactly the same as the score GameSpot has given it here. And the Steam scores for all the From Software Dark Souls-likes are all above 80%.
Imagine having so little going on in your life, imagine having so little character, that you have to actually associate with a video game to give yourself a sense of identity, to the extent that you get offended when other people don't like it. A video game you haven't even played. Like the game is your mother or something. Imagine.
