It's actually pretty great, and gives more than you probably expect, both in depth and length.
But damn does it suck what they did with Ada. She still has that same intense mixture of bored and boring. A shame to have to play as such an unlikeable character.
@gunnyninja: On really top end NVIDIA rigs wth 4090's, it gets around 120fps max settings at 1440p. That's pretty bad. I can't speak for other NVIDIA cards, but odds are you're getting lower than you should be. Although maybe just max settings is really really unoptimised.
It's a very underwhelming game generally, it runs poorly on NVIDIA cards (which is what most people have), Todd Howard told his customary bunch of lies over the dev cycle, and generally it just feels really dated and kinda floaty/jank. It doesn't really feel like there have been any major improvements to the formula since Fallout 3 in 2008, i.e. 15 years ago, which itself was basically 2006's Oblivion with a reskin. It really just highlights for me how heavily they were relying on the atmosphere/mystique of really old series from 1997 and 1994. Perhaps their jank/dated impression is what made them feel like classics from those series, from that era.
@6t4gp: That's how it's sold in the short-term. All it has to do is look good in the short-term. A few years down the line, when the developers are all bought up, and the customers are all hooked in, the same thing will happen as always happens.
@treechopper88: Oh so not only am I an AMD employee now but in fact all of YouTube is in on the conspiracy too, and any reviewer who says AMD is better this gen (i.e. all of them) is in on it as well. Working for the man. Wow. I thought you were just garden-variety mentally underdeveloped, but turns out you're an actual, genuine, real-life nutcase.
Imagine having a life so empty that you turn the manufacturer of one of your PC components into your personal religion, wholly immune to facts or reason. I mean imagine.
I really am out of here man. Go ahead and try to turn what I said back on me in yet another lame attempt to be funny and clever, it won't get read. You seriously need professional help and god knows I'm not your psychologist.
@treechopper88: All you have to do is check the benchmarks. There's no differing results. They're all in consensus. There's several dozen benchmarks on YouTube, covering dozens of the newest/most popular games. AMD wins in every price bracket that it has a product. All you have to do is look. I don't know why you're so in denial. It doesn't change anything. Why deny such easily accessible facts?
