That little screen probably added $20 to the manufacturing cost,
and $100 to the retail cost.
A solution in search of a problem.
I recommend anyone looking to spend >$100 on a controller,
to get one with magnetic sensors on the sticks,
and replaceable modules that can be swapped out as an alternative to repair.
Because potentiometers just die, man,
and when that happens it doesn't matter how good the rest of the thing is.
Don't get swindled; make your investment last.

@jenovaschilld: Yeah I'd agree with just about all of that.
If you're talking 70-80%, then there's a whole lot more, including a lot of the classics. In that category I'd put Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien, The Excorcist, The Shining, Doctor Sleep, House, The Blair Witch Project, 28 Days Later, It Follows, Ringu, Rosemary's Baby, The Babadook, Signs, US, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, etc.

But ≥80% ? Man, there's not many, probably...
The Conjuring, Sinister,IT, The Thing, and I can't think of any more.

I just can't see any way out for the DC Universe.
Not in the next 10 years anyway.
It's just too far gone. The number of f***-ups is borderline unbelieveable.
It's like they're cursed or something.

In my opinion,
merely as someone who has watched horror films for a couple decades,
a ≥80% horror film is like a once-in-a-decade occurrence.
That is, if they're held to the same standards as all films,
and you're not just rating them realtivistically, against each other.
I admit that horror is just the lowest-quality genre of film.
(if you don't count like YouTube films and Netflix Christmas crap)
Especially horrors that try to also be comedies, usually failing at both.
And a doll that murders people is not a new idea. It's practically a cliché.
I haven't seen this one yet,
but the chances that this one is so head-poppingly fresh as to earn an 80%
—never mind a 91%— are... eh... well it's not likely, as far as I'm concerned.

The film does feature a “female”
helping another female
kill her male oppressor though.
Maybe that has something to do with it.
I wasn't as impressed with Midsommar as the media apparently was either.

I'm playing through the original for the first time now,
and it turns out 1994 is a bit much for me.
Even Enhanced Edition still has two separate buttons for crouch and stand up,
and like nine different buttons scattered all over your HUD just for things to read.
I've resolved as many issues as I can with AutoHotkey, but it's still testing my patience.
Makes you think how amazing Doom must have been the year before.

It's a good film.
Very similar to the first with the exception of setting.
And again the central mystery is disappointingly straightforward.
Blanc even declares in the film how dumb it is.
It'll keep your brain happily churning until the disappointment kicks in though.
The shallower stuff orbiting the centre is more smartly written and helps with the atmosphere.
Although there are a couple of moments which just straight-up don't make sense.
(Why no support by air to the island? Why hold up the napkin to his face?)
Despite being technically deeper and more complex —as well as funnier—
overall I prefer the first film for its setting and characters.
The second is more gaudy (albeit deliberately) and has less of that classy slow-burn feel.
7/10

@zmanbarzel: I didn't say it was a bad game.
I happen to think it's a good game, but it's not the point I'm making.
An Epic Games check isn't going to compare to absolutely crippled sales figures.

@Spartan_418: True, but I don't count that.
Mainly because it'd be almost impossible to make a fun game with that thing.
