They didnt fail us. Hardware upgrades is part of technology. Welcome to 2007! PS2 got an upgrade, Nintendo DS got an upgrade. Xbox 360 now gets an upgrade. It's not a big deal.

Give him a Linux t-shirt. OS Wars came long before System Wars. :)

I bought my 360 on March 1st. I have my receipt in front of me so lets compare! Microsoft XBox 360 Premium - $399.99 Play and Charge Kit - $19.99 VGA HD/AV Cables - $39.99 Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - $49.49 (Used) Tax - $42.03 Total: $551.49 PS3 w/Tax and with a $59.99 game would be: $714.43 Price Difference: $162.94 I saved alot buying a XBox 360 with the features and accessories I needed. Would it have been nice to have a wireless card thrown in there? Sure! But a long ethernet cable does the trick for me.

They are probably doing upgrades of some nature. Maybe some backend database changes, etc.

Petitions are worthless. Especially online ones.

I bought my 360 on March 1st. The elite version does not affect me in any way. I could care less about it and quite frankly am very sick of hearing about it. I do not have a HDTV and use the VGA cables to my computer monitor. I am barely using the 20GB disk I have and do not need 120GB. In addition even if I did need the hard drive upgrade I can buy it seperately.

Okay, I would really appreciate if all of you microsoft fanboys would stop dropping lines in the PS3 forums about how you THINK the x360 is so much better. I'm sure most of you own a PS2, so you support sony even if you say you do or not. Not to mention the fact that the PS2 is still the top selling console out there. Quit slamming the forums PLEASE!Auron_5
You first.

Why do people get so freaked out over broken 360's? I don't see owners of Dell computers freak out nearly as much when they break down. Gaming consoles nowadays are pretty powerful computers. Much more powerful each generation. Here's a news flash: Electronics break down. The normal state for any electronic device is off or broken. Get over it.

I have recently purchased a Xbox 360 and purchased Oblivion and signed up for GameFly. I already beat and sent back Dead Rising and am currently waiting for Gears of War. The plan was to play Oblivion while waiting for GameFly to ship. I have read so many good things about Gears of War and how awesome it is. Should I just go ahead and buy it and not bother renting it?

Thanks.
