I already have a Switch, so no.

But the Lite is perfect for those that want to play Ninty's exclusives, without having to spend too much.

I have a Switch already so it's also a no for me. Even if I didn't I would still go for the original Switch. Being able to link it to the TV and change your joy cons is a necessity.

Sure, the Lite is a good option for those who aren't looking to break the bank but honestly, it's a better deal for Nintendo. This is a play to grow their market. The Lite is plagued with that joy con issue. You would think after all the flaws with the first one the next version would be problem free.

The Switch has somewhat been a comeback for Nintendo after some dreadful years but it's been a far from perfect way to right the ship. I'm curious to see what their strategy is for Gen 9.

Isopropyl alcohol and a hairdryer.

This is most likely the best bet. Alcohol will clean it quite nicely but not sure if that would remove any odor.

Where was the N64 being stored? I've had cats for 16 years and this literally has never ever happened to me. I havent even had a cat destroy a single cable or even touch my system. The closest call I had was my current cat jumping on the table my Saturn was on and he stood next to it.

Needless to say the cat knows now he's not allowed anywhere near the Saturn lol

I really can't keep up between my retro collection and modern collecting for PS4 and Switch it's really tough. I just do my best to play a little bit each day to chip away at the backlog.

I enjoy keeping somewhat of a backlog cause atleast if life gets in the way and I can't pick up any new games for a month or two I atleast have a ton of stuff to play from the backlog to ease the pain!

I don't think we'll ever see anything as great as generations 4-6 again. The evolution of gaming during those eras happened so quickly. Within 10 years we went from side scrolling 16 bit games to the beginning of full 3D open world. The end of generation 6 and beginning of generation 7 was one of the weakest times as the focus was no longer on gamers. Not to mention saturation. If a game series was successful in gen 6 the end of the gen was those companies pushing out subpar products from that line. GTA did this after Vice City and San Andreas with Liberty City and Vice City Stories. Guitar Hero did it with Rock The 80's and specific band Guitar Hero games.

I would go as far and say that there were more quality games in numbers especially in generations 5 and 6. If you had a few different friends with Playstation or Xbox they would each have their own unique library of quality games. Nowadays most people will have a more similar library of games if they own the same system.

Someone mentioned that there was both good and trash games in every generation and that's a blanket statement. The ratio can differ among generations. PS2 has the ability to play over 3000 games so imagine how many great games can be played. Trash games for gens 4 and 5 often had some redeeming qualities, they were often based off of great movies, shows and franchises. Some of the terrible games were atleast somewhat humorous.

Lastly, one thing that didn't survive after gens 4-6 was the arcade influence in home gaming. In the current generation it actually seems that home gaming has influenced the arcade more than the arcade influencing home gaming.

My thought is that it would be a nice idea but the company won't be devoting time or effort on making it backwards compatible for PS3.

For PS4 it's worth the investment as they'll still be supporting it when the PS5 comes out. It also helps tie in the VR line. It's a good strategy for them as it will make customers more willing to onboard knowing that their old hardware and games are still being fully supported.

The new Spider Man game is essentially appealing to a demographic who like the Bat Man Arkham games and Infamous. If those games come across as simplistic or scripted for the player, that's because it's what the general audience for those games want. So at least it's competent in what it's trying to achieve.

I had this thought initially when playing it. Very similar to the Arkham games.

I did enjoy the game though but there was too much cinematics. Seems to have become a trend in this era. I just want to play the game. If I wanted to watch the cinematics I could watch a movie.

I remember this episode, back in the day. The question is, are there games for it?

It plays snes games doesn't it?

I'm not sure. I may be wrong, but from what i remember, it was supposed to be a CD Rom add-on for the Snes. It never came out, so i guess there are no games for it.

It loads SNES cartridges from the top. The front facing part of the console has the disc loader. Similar concept to Sega CD.

At the time Nintendo had a partnership with Phillips and it was announced publicly. Sony was expecting the announcement to be in regards to their partnership for the SNES Playstation.

Things were rocky between Sony and Nintendo from there forward but in that time they claim a few hundred prototypes were made. Sony scrapped the whole project and the rest is history.

All the miserable fucks have to do is HD remaster GX with online but they won't even do that :(

Yeah they could get away with that. Maybe add in something new in there just to give us something extra.

While they're at it they can make an Earthbound remake too.

F-zero is too niche and got worse sales with each entry. Franchise is dead and Nintendo is too cheap to make another one.

Yet Nintendo is a rich company and developing F-Zero doesn't need to spend a lot of money so your logic is stupid.

I agree with you I don't think it costs them that much to develop a Switch game vs developing to meet the specifications for Xbox One or PS4.

What they do save in costs could easily be used to market the game. As someone said Captain Falcon is most famous for appearances in SSB so putting him at the forefront in advertising to push the game would help. I do agree however, it is more a niche market it won't reach the level of sales that the more popular series have reached. It should be able to atleast reach above the 2 million mark.
