speedfan (freeware) can control them by 1% increments (on most motherboards and chipsets). Just turn it all down to 0% and sometimes it can even control the fan on your video card, or the case-fan, etc. Keep in mind when I say *most* because on a few PC's I had, it didn't.. but with a few, sometimes I would turn them down because they were too noisy (On my Dell Poweredge server).

Is the Wii high definition? and if it is, what resolution? 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p? and does it connect via an HDMI cable, or component connections?

Depends what games you like..Theres a lot..You have mafia 2, crysis2 ,rage, doom4 , star wars unleashed, cybertron, lot of games do out.halo reach, many games..
