[QUOTE="MonsieurX"][QUOTE="ShoTTyMcNaDeS"]I said..."ID BE WILLING TO BET"...It is an opinion of mine. Everyone that I have talked to on XBL is getting the XBOX ONE! They like XBOX Live and the XBOX style controller. My point is that people like you have this very arrogant opinion that everyone is jumping ship and going over to Sony and it simply not true in any sense. ShoTTyMcNaDeS
"everyone on your XBL" =\= everyone So there still might be a huge part of them jumping ship

No but here are the facts....Why would a XBOX 360 owner jump over to the PS4?? The have had 8 years with what is the same controller as the XBOX ONE controller. XBOX Live is PROVEN superior to PSN is every way imagineable! Now all online games on XBL will have dedicated servers instead of the last gen P2P that PS4 owners are stuck with. Developers are looking into ways to incorporate ways to utilize Kinect in their games in meaningful ways. Like DICE working with it for wall leans and voice commands in BF4. The XBOX ONE will get all CoD DLC first as usual. Titanfall coming to X! and PC waaaaaaaaaaaay before PS4 even gets a sniff! Forza 5, Crimson Dragon, DR3, Ryse and Killer Instinct collectively demolish the PS4 exclusive line up at launch. Multiplat games such as BF4, CoD Ghosts, Destiny, Watch Dogs, The Evil Within and others will be identical or nearly identical and if there are any differences they wont be worth talking about!! It will be up to first party devs to find ways to max out either console as they will spend much more time on their own game that is for a specific system. EA, Capcom, 2K, Bethesda, UbiSoft, DICE, Treyarch, Infinity Ward and other third party dvelopers WILL NOT SPEND TIME MAKING CONSOLE SPECIFIC TITLES FROM THE MAJOR FRANCHISES!!!!!! CoD will be the same on both systems! Madden will be the same on both systems! Need for Speed will be the same on both systems!!! Just please stop with this sense of high and mighty entitlement that Sony fanbots have been walking around with since E3. If the ultimate success of a console was determined by theoretical numbers, fanfare from gaming expo's and corporate hype, everyone but Sony would be out of the industry by now. The FACT is that Sony is simply holding to form by boasting big processing numbers, big gaming promises and this "we are by gamers, for gamers" bullshit mantra. The reality is going to come out as usual and none of us will be surprised. I have 7 letters for you.... T H E C E LL!!!! NUFF SAID!!!!!!

Very well put!

Im only buying a PS4 for single player games said no one.

You can act like a 12 year old all day and claim you wont play any game MP, but we all know in todays tech world, it is just not true.

Anyhow its no suprise that Xbox live will be superior again. MS has devoted much more time and money to it.

I am still holding off which ill buy but if the XB1 plays well, than xbox live will be my deciding factor.

Ditto...I'm right there with you. If the xbox one proves to be a good machine, xbox live with be my deciding factor.

[QUOTE="kingoflife9"]

theres always more people online for xbox than ps3, atleast for the games that I play, like fifa, madden, cod, and guess what.... they all speak english.

StrongBlackVine

Thanks for living up to the lemming stereotype. The people who so care so much about online play the same yearly rehashed shit. They can stay on Xbox as they would bring nothing to the PlayStation community with their xenophobic attitudes. PlayStation is a global brand.

WOW! Dude, you need to chill. haha. Angry person?

[QUOTE="neversummer75"][QUOTE="Basinboy"]

Which games do you intend on playing again?

I haven't any issue with either and the closer you stick to the mainstream publishers, the quality will be comparable IMO.

Basinboy
I like the Madden, NCAA football, 2K basketball, FIFA, etc... To be honest, part of me is pissed at MS for charging what they are charging. If I find that Sony is offering an online service that matches the new and improved LIVE, then I'm making the switch. I really think that MS is underestimating the 100 bucks difference between the two systems. 499 just looks soooo much more painful than 399. I never thought in a million years that I would get anything other than an xbox. crazy.

Yours is THE predicament most Xbox loyalists will find themselves in. Making the switch includes not just gauging quality parity, but requires forfeiting your achievements, friends list, Xbox content (DLC, Avatar items, yada yada yada), etc. I don't think you'll find much of an issue with the online play on PSN, seeing as 2K and EA are huge publishers with massive interests in the online gameplay space (and it's not like the PS brand is a niche platform they don't profit much from). That said, X1 may still be your choice. If you don't intend on playing much outside of sports/shooters, that's the console you'll want. It all depends on how much value you place on the offerings from PS+ (and disregard the services of XBL and Kinect), the exclusive titles offered by Sony, and the $100 difference caused by Kinect. Tough call. I'm all over PS4 because I also have a PC where I'll be able to play 90% of the Xbox offerings and the other 9% aren't games I really care that much for. I'm 60/40 recommending the switch.

Great thoughts. Thanks for the thoughts and advice. I still have time to think about it. It's a hard decision. We shall see.

[QUOTE="FoxbatAlpha"]Sony has not disclosed on how they will improve their online IF they improve it. MS is adding 300,000 servers for openers and all games will be on dedicated servers. neversummer75
So, does that mean that games will be more responsive and run smoother online? I've even found that some games on LIVE are very sluggish and not very responsive.

Will the dedicated servers solve these issues? Will Sony be offering them as well?

Ive been in Microsofts camp and have owned both Xbox systems since the original come out years ago. Ive never owned any other brand of gaming system (with the exception of the old Atari and Nintendo systems way back in the day). After much research and contemplation, Im seriously thinking about making the switch to Sony and the PS4 for this generation. The difference in specs/power, future proof/room to grow (and more importantly) the PRICE (100 bucks is a lot) between the two systems has me re-thinking my Xbox One Preorder. I would say the only thing that is keeping me from cancelling my Xbox One preorder and ordering the PS4 is the online functionality and quality of the online experience of the two systems.

I play most of my games online (mainly sports games) and speed and smoothness of the online play is key to what Im looking for. There is nothing worse than playing an online sports game and having it be a lag fest, be choppy and be unresponsive. I want a smooth experience all around with the online play. It looks like Microsoft is bolstering LIVE with 300,000+ servers. Does anyone know exactly how this will translate to actual online gameplay? Will it provide a smoother experience than what LIVE currently offers? More importantly, how will Sony and the PS4s future online service compare? Ive heard that the PS3s online experience is not as good as LIVE. Does Sony have plans to bolster and improve the online experience? If so, how? As mentioned before, I want the most smooth, responsive and dependable online experience as possible.

Please, no fan-boy responses.

Not that impressed so far. I'm about 5 hours in and the game has yet to wow me or even get me excited. The combat is bad which kind of dampens the game. If Skyrim had the combat of The Witcher 2 I would be in love with it.

SF_KiLLaMaN
I agree...the weakest part of the game is the combate. The rest is amazing.
