Now before some of you say I'm a fakeboy just looking to cause problems here in system wars, your wrong! Here's the deal, I purchased the PS3 Metal Gear Solid action pack from Costco that came with two DualShock 3 controllers, the 80 gig PS3, the BlueTooth remote and of course Metal Gear Solid 4. I have yet to open the box and after a lot of soul searching have decided to unload it. I came to the conclusion that because I already own an xbox360 and 11 games I just couldn't justify spending 600 bucks on the PS3. To be honest, I mainly wanted the PS3 as a good BlueRay player but at this point I don't feel that I'm ready to get one. I've recently decided to try and mix up my interests a bit and get into other hobbies other than gaming....you know, live a balanced life. Don't get me wrong, I will always be a gamer at heart but I think having 2 systems is carrying things a little too far and that it would do me good to expand my horizons. I'm not saying it's the best system but because I'm already so invested in it and because I'm trying to balance my time on other hobbies, I think the xbox360 will do me just fine this generation. I can't understand where people get the money and have time to get all the systems and actually use them enough to justify there purchase.

So, I need some advice. Should I return the system back to Costco and get a full refund or should I try and sell the pack on Ebay and make a little extra money? I could be wrong but this particular pack seems to be in high demand and there is low supply. After tax and shipping, I paid 625 bucks for it. Should I sell it on Ebay and if so how much should I sell it for? Thanks for the help guys.

P.S... One more thing....the reason why I posted this on systems wars was because of the sheer volume of people that are on it. I thought that I would get a larger response posting it on this board.

For those of you who still don't believe...

I beat the game on Veteran in about 7 hours, I didn't find it that hard until the very last part with the missle silo.spinecaton

Ya that is the level I was talking about. That level was just nuts. I feel at that point the game started to become cheap as hell.

IMO this game has got to be one of the cheapest games I've played in a very long time. The game resorts to cheap and dirty tricks instead of using clever and smart A.I. to make the game seem more challenging. This is especially apparent in the later levels, with the last level being absolutely ridicules. In the last level, I was astonished at how ridiculously hard this game became. I continuously found myself shooting enemies numerous times just to find that they were only wounded and they were somehow able to get a head shot and kill me from a 100 + feet away, while crawling backwards and using only there hand gun. Furthermore, no matter how fast you are, the enemies are almost always able to get the draw on you first and cause mass damage. It also bothers me how the enemies are somehow able to accurately throw a grenade from an impossible angel and distance and get a kill.

I think Call of Duty is a great game. However, IMO I think the dirty and cheap tricks the developer resorted to in order to make this game seem more challenging, bring the game down a notch and made it not as an enjoyable experience as it could have been. There were times that I felt it was more of a chore to play the game, rather than a fun and exciting experience. I'm sick and tired of some of these developers being lazy and instead of developing amazing and challenging A.I., they resort to dirty tricks to achieve what appears to be a challenging game.

Furthermore, check out my past posts. I've been as big a xbox360 and MS fanboy as anyone else. I've trashed the PS3 almost as much as anyone else.

Never in a million years did I or anyone else that knows me ever think I would get one. However, after burning through my 3rd xbox360 console, I was fed up with MS! At the beginning of this current generation, I was so anti Sony and PS3 that I wouldn't even consider getting the system. However, as each one of my xbox360 systems burned out on me I slowly started warming up to the idea. Just recently my 3rd system died on me and that was it for me! While waiting for my xbox360 to be fixed by MS I decided to get a PS3 from Wal-Mart and give it a try. Although it's dishonest, I bought one from Wal-Mart because of their 15 day return policy. If I don't end up liking the system, I will take it back. Don't get me wrong....I love the xbox360, I just think it was designed and built like pure crap.

I've had the PS3 for a few days now and this is what I think of it.

The system itself: Very sexy! It just seems better built with better quality parts. I always heard from other people how quite it was but wow....it truly is! I don't know, but it just seems like the system was better designed on every level.

Graphics: So far, I've tried Heavenly Sword, MLB the show 08, Warhawk, Uncharted, and Resistance. Although the graphics are really good, they are pretty much on par with the xbox360. Those that say that one system is better than the other in terms of graphics are just being dishonest. As of right now, generally speaking, it's a wash between the two systems.

Online: Although the PSN is decent, as of right now xbox live bows it out of the water. It's more streamlined and just better integrated. I'm sure the PSN will get better with time but I just feel that xbox live is the better setup.

Controller: I never thought I would ever say this but I really like the PS3 controller. I tried it once at the local Best Buy and I didn't really like it. However, after using it at home the past few days it's really grown on me. I love the xbox360 controller as well but the PS3 controller is great in its own right.

Games: For obvious reason, the xbox360 blows the PS3 out of the water at this point in time. However time will tell if the PS3 can put out as amazing games as the xbox360. We shall see.

As of right now I'm going to continue to try out the PS3 for the next 13 days and then come to a conclusion if I'm going to switch or give MS and the xbox360 a 4th and final chance. For me, online game play is what's most important. That fact is the ONLY thing that is tempting me to give the xbox360 one more chance. As of right now I think the PS3 a much better system with an exception of games and online setup. I'll tell you one thing; if the PS3 had an online setup like the xbox360, I'd switch in a heartbeat!

[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]Based off of your experience, is online gaming really worth having to run through so many systems?neversummer75

As odd as it may sound...yes...yes it is. xbox live is that amazing. Like I said before, if Sony can match xbox live, I will switch in a heart beat.

Furthermore, this is coming from a guy that would have never even have considered buying a PS3 at the start of the current generation. However, the PS3 is starting to show that it is matching, and in some cases surpasing everything the xbox360 has to offer other than the online service. As soon as the PS3 has a online system that rivals xboxlive, I'll be sold!
