Lately, my Xbox has been freezing and twice its shown 3 red rings...Idk what do to...should i send it in or what?EskimoJoe33

Dude, my third xbox360 just died on me. Send it in right away. It will take about 3-4 weeks to get it back so you better get the ball rolling. I'm waiting for the box to arrive so I can send my system in for repair. However, when I get it back I just may sell it. I'm just so sick of dealing with it.

I can't believe how classless some of you people are. Calling him fakeboy and writing owned! Grow up!! To the TC, I feel your pain. I went through a RRoD hassle once and that was all it took for me to give up on Micro$oft. I traded my 360 in for a PS3 and never looked back. My 360 went RRoD after 3 months! I've had my PS3 for 6 months with no issues. The library of games may not be up to par for the PS3 but I expect good things from it in the coming years. Good luck in whatever decision you make!gdp72

Hey, thanks a lot for your support. I'm just besind myself with all the problems I've had with my xbox360. I love the system but it was just so poorly built. I'm just so frustrated. Thanks for being cool man.

I'm getting the same feeling, and my box hasn't even broken. There are tons of issues with the 360 right now, specifically (for me) with xbox live. I've tried everything, I've called customer support and gone through all the motions but its still a major source of frustration. Maybe its just my box because all of my friends' boxes work just fine (even if they have been repaired) but I don't know how long I'm willing to put up with this. If my 360 were to break tomorrow, I don't know if I would rush out to get a new one. The problem is that I have invested so much in my console. Along with the regular console, I bought another controller, a bigger hard drive, and I have owned at least 15 games. We're talking about thousands of dollars here that I have invested into one single system. Even if the PS3 genuinly appealed to me (it doesn't really, not because i dislike it, just because the games are mostly the same to what I already have and the only thing that I really like is that it actually works) I probably wouldn't get it this late in the game just because it would be such a financial strain. So now I'm stuck with a system which I love when it works, but it rarely ever works.stevo684

Dude, you just nailed it. That is exactly how I feel. I'm between a rock and a hard place. MS is screwing us all over!

Ask yourself the following questions: 1. Can I continue to cope with this MS hardware BS? 2. What games do I actually want for the 360? (released or to be released) If your answer to #1 is no, then go elsewhere. If your answer to #2 is a very short list, examine the games coming out (or already released) for other systems that make you go "hey, that looks cool" and decide if it's worth it to change teams :)Staryoshi87

The thing that makes me really really really love my xbox is xboxlive. Thats why i'm not all that interested in the PS3 or the Wii.

I hope they get this fix. I don't want Microsoft to go out with a whimper.

Xbox360 = Dreamcast (without the 2d fighter)

Cute_Red_Panda

My 3rd system just died on me. I for one thinks this in buts and I'm very very disappointed in MS

[QUOTE="DaLegendKilla92"]Honestly, in your position, I would get a Wii ( no fanboyin) since it has a better library than the PS3 currently and has a way smaller chance of breaking. Plus, you wouldn't feel guilty having 2 systems since the Wii is a good secondary console to pass the time and Smash Brawl is coming out soon. However, the PS3 does share some 360 games you might like, and has the Blu-Ray, but the PS3 is $400, and a $60 game to buy with it.....I wouldn't do it. Other than that, wait a month......ghostjga

I'm just so fed up. I may just sell my xbox360 when I get it back and not get another system until the next xbox comes out. Maybe by then it will be built better. I'm just so frustrated right now.

I'll keep you in my prayers. Look up the Wii though, PM me with which type of games you like and I will tell you what the Wii has. Honestly, I don't know much about the PS3 that you already don't know about. Don't give up yet.

Thanks for the advice but I dont really want the Wii...I can't see myself playing it all the much. To be honest I don't really want the PS3 as well. The only real system that I have interest in is the xbox360. However, its built like a piece of crap. I really have no other choice. I just dont have it in me anymore to deal with all of this crap every other month.

I got sick after returning my xbo360 twice. My suggestion, If you love your xbox360 to death, you can waste money like I did and trade it in for a xbox 360 with the new falcon chip. Much much cooler with less noise and lower power consumption.

But like Staryoshi said, try to get all 3 systems if you can.

Sorry, its out of the quetion. I dont really want the other ones. I want the xbox360! I just don't know if I can deal with this anymore. 3 systems of died on me. 3! Thats nuts!

[QUOTE="TarzanTheMan"]get a wii to tide you over while your 360 is gone (repeatedly). i guess you just have bad luck. the wii is a great secondary system though, much better and more worth the investment than a ps3 which has many of the same games as the 360.Staryoshi87

I have bad luck? lol. Are you kidding me? Eveyone that I personally know has had to send there system in at least once. I just dont understand how MS can feel good about selling us this system when they know there are problems with it. Pisses me off!

out of the 12 people i know that own an xbox 360, none have sent it in or had rrod/miscellaneous failures with it.

That's either a miracle or impossible. I'm sure 4 of them or more (33%) have had theirs fail, but can't admit it due to hardcore fanboyism lol. Approximately 60% of the people I know who has had a 360 has had at least one failure, and that's from a pool of roughly 30 people.

Same here. What my question is, how can MS get away with this? Isn't there a law that protect we the people? Its not right or ethica. Why isnt the government going after them?

[QUOTE="Staryoshi87"]The PS3 is the superior of the two consoles. Not flaming, but speaking from experience. I just battled with the idea of trading in my 360 (i was ready to do it today) but decided that it just wasn't worth it. (Also, Lost Odyssey kept me on board). If you can afford it, get all 3 systems. If you can't, either stick it out with the 360 or sell it and pick up a PS3 or a Wii. I recommend both with every fiber of my being :)Staryoshi87

Thanks for the advice bro but I don't have that kind of money. Furthermore, if I did have that kinda of money I still wouldn't own all 3. I just dont play games that often. I like to be well rounded in my interests and If i owned all 3 systems I would turn into a hermit. Not good.

I have a PC, PSP, and DS in addition to that, but I'm no hermit! :) The trick is to only buy the best games for each :D But yeah, the 360 has fallen to the bottom of my list of next-gen console loves. It only took having a PS3 for a month to change my mind about it :) Might as well stick it out with the 360 though if you don't play many games, as it's almost worthless to trade it in.

I'm thinking about selling it and just getting a psp or something. What do you think I could get for it?

ok. I trust you. However, you know darn well that the xbox360 was not built well.
