Guys, I just can't tell you how truly pissed I am right now. A few months ago I had to send in my xbox360 to get replaced because of the 3 rings of death and 6 months before that I had to do the exact samething. The current system I have right now which is my third, has been acting really odd the past few days. I haven't been getting the 3 rings of death but the system has been freezing on me while playing games.

Today I finally called customer support and they had me do all the trouble shooting steps. After completing all those steps they came to the conclusion that my system is broken and in need of repair. I almost hit the roof when the told me! Not only is this the third system that has died on me, now I have to wait another 3-4 weeks to get a repaired one back!! I don't know what to do...I'm just sooo pissed!

I LOVE my xbox360 to death but I just can't keep going through all this crap. It's insane! Never in my life have I owned such a faulty piece of electronic equipment. I never thought I would say this but I really feel forced into a corner, and feel that I need to sell my xbox360 when I get it back, and either go with a Wii or PS3. I truly feel I have no other choice.

Before all this happened, I really had no desire to get a PS3 other than maybe for a blue ray player and had zero desire for a Wii. However, I feel I have no other choice. I'm just so pissed and sad in MS becauae I love my xbox360 but it was just sooo poorly put together and has just to many problems. I just don't have the time or energy anymore to deal with all of this. Any of you guys have any suggestions on what I should do? Please no fanboy crap!

Americans are pretty arrogant. We enjoy the pride of American made products. And anything made here is better than anything made anywhere else... even if it's not :-P

J/K, I think the American audience is just drawn more towards the war/shooter themed games that the xbox has been famous for since the first one.

I'm starting to get pretty bored with the games that come out for the 360 though, pretty much like I did with my xbox. So as Sony keeps their exclusives coming, I suspect that 360 sales will continue to decline as well.

For me its xbox live. I RARELY play my games in single player....I just don't have the time. However, I play 99.9% of my games online. I just love playing Halo 3 or many of my sports games online against other PEOPLE. No matter how good the AI, it can never replicate an actual person. Although xbox live has been having problems as of late and it has in fact pissed me off....I just love what it has to offer. When it runs perfect, which it does most of the time, its just amazing. So, for me, xbox live will ALWAYS keep be coming back to the xbox360. Sorry Sony, sorry Nintendo.

WOW...where do you find the time to play all 3 systems? I wish I had that kind of time. My xbox360 with all its great games and xbox live will take care of me for years to come. I just wanted the PS3 for the BlueRay player and upconversions. I heard it has a really great BlueRay player in it. If it ever gets under 300 bones I will get one but wont buy any games for it...just movies.

I'd expect any price drop to coincide with a big release. Will that be MGS4 in May or possibly GTAIV in April? I don't know but one thing is for sure there is no reason to drop the price of the PS3 so quickly after the holiday season. Specially when the console sold very well considering it didn't have any "must have" exclusive title.

Expect the PS3 to be $299 or less by 4th qtr this year but not in the first 28 days of 2008 lol. And for the record Sony will deny ANY price reduction until the day it offically hits. Why would any companyannounce a future price drop when it would only lead to a drop in sales for that time period until it's actually reduced. Why else do you think Sony denied the $399 price point even with actual retail adds popping up?

Good point. However, until its under 300 bones...no deal for me. I was all excited about the rumored price drop. Shame on me for believing anything posted in these forums. lol! Most of them are made up by nerds with way too much time on there hands.

Nooooooo! Still in college and life is already over for you, jk. Anyways, i'd buy a PS3 for $299. Thats a steal for a Blu-Ray player that plays the full format profile 1.1, Bonus View and iNet connectivity (none currently exist and the PS3 is said to be getting it, but doesn't have it as of yet) and decodes damn near every audio format they put on a disc.

I agree with you...for $299 I'd buy it in a heart beat. But until then, no deal! Like I said before, I will only be purchasing the PS3 for the BluRay player and thats it. None of the games coming out for the PS3 interest in the least.

I never said it wouldn't. However, i was just talking about the rumored price drop that was going around the forums last week and that was getting a lot of attention. The one that talked about a $299 price for the 40gig model and a new white PS3. These was all supposed to happen today. lol. Where do these nerds find the time to come up with the crazy rumors? Why do they do it? They may want to try using the time they burn on starting such rumors on finding a girlfriend. lol
